Joe was wondering through the streets the next morning with Nick by his side. None of them wanting this break to mean they couldn't spend time with one another, they were still brothers at the end of the day and needed to keep a strong bond. He couldn't imagine not being best friends with any of his brothers and that included Frankie, he often spoke to him over the phone or through texts, he was the least annoying brother.

"How are you and Demi then?" Nick questioned starting up a conversation.

"We're fine I think, it's nearly been a month. I found out last night that she's saving up for a operation to cure her blindness." Joe explained.

"Can't you give her some? It won't much of a difference to your pocket surely." Nick suggested Joe shaking his head gently.

"I offered but she wants to earn it all herself, she gets a lot of tips at the restaurant." Joe responded as they entered Starbucks getting their own drinks before sitting down in a booth. It was a out the way so nobody would know they were there unless they were in the shop.

"I couldn't imagine trying to play the piano without my eyesight, I admire her for what she does. When will we get to meet her?"

"I don't know, it's not because she doesn't know who I am but she's quite shy too. It took some doing just getting her to let me come over, she needs company though and I think because I pushed her a bit in the start she's better off." Joe replied.

"Do you know why she's blind yet?" Joe shook his head gently, he couldn't imagine how it would happen unless she was in a car crash or something.

"She's telling me all that stuff when she's ready, she doesn't speak to her parents either. I want to try and encourage her to give them a call, I couldn't imagine not speaking to mom or dad for four years. I'd be lost without them." Joe admitted.

"They did give up a lot for us, and Frankie too. Maybe Demi just needs some encouragement to give them a phone call, give it a go." Nick encouraged.

"I'll see." Joe took a sip of his coffee.

Demi was sat at the restaurant on her bar stool that night playing random tunes. Jace was sat on the bench next to her like he usually did, the piano was hidden away a little bit so Jace wouldn't contaminate any of the food but everyone could still see the blind girl who was playing well hitting every note right. It took a lot of practice but she could do it. She became confused when she felt Jace hop down off the stool feeling someone sit down next to her.

"Joe?" Demi questioned, she only knew him.

"Nope," She heard another voice. "Carry on playing." She was hesitant but she continued to play hearing him filling in the tune on his side of the piano. She could hear clapping in the background, it was clear they were watching them play rather than eating their meals. She had a smile on her face as she played with the person next to her feeling Jace at her feet but being careful knowing that she needed to use the pedal to play.

"Why are you playing with me?" Demi inquired as they continued.

"Why not? Your amazing to say you can't see what keys your pressing."

"I've practiced a lot through the years," Demi responded looking down at the keys anyway. They finished the tune off. "My shift is over."

"Hold on." She felt the person get up taking her tip jar off the piano wondering away. It was a couple of minute later when they approached her again feeling the jar in her hands. It was heavy, a lot more than usual.

"Thank you! Who are you?" Demi questioned.

"My name is Nick Jonas." Demi recognised the name looking in his direction as he wondered away signing some autographs on the way. A smile came to her lips as she realised she had been helped by a random celebrity.
