Chapter five

••April 26, 2013

Today is a Three Days Grace day.

Yeah. THAT depressing.

I didn't care if it was 6:30 am. I'm STILL home alone and I'm going to abuse that fact. So you know what?

Fuck school today.

I'm going back to sleep.••

I put the book down and fell asleep. I needed Jeff right now. Urgently.

Weird, I found myself in my house when I dreamt.

But Jeff's couch was there.

My first though was that he's here. And of course I'm right. There he is on the couch and here I am, coming down the stairs not only half asleep,

But almost half naked if it weren't for my shorts being about 3 inches shorter than appropriate.

He looked up.

"Oh hey."

Hey?

"What are you doing here?"

"It's just a dream. I'm not really here. I'm not in the real world, remember?"

Wow, way to make me feel awful.

"I said sorry."

I grabbed a blanket and sat on the far end, curled in the blanket.

"You gonna stay over there?"

I nodded.

He moved closer every now and then, and I met him half way.

Our legs touched and I laughed.

" How lame of you."

I thought for a second after he laughed.

"Aren't you like, 18 or something now?"

He looked at me as if I were crazy.

"Uh, no."

"Really? Because you look legal."

"Legal?"

"Ya. Legal."

He still looked at me weirdly "the hell does that mean?"

"It means you could be of age and it would be illegal for you to be with a minor."

He shrugged. "Maybe I am, maybe I'm not."

"Is that supposed to charm me, because it did the complete opposite." I scooted away and he scooted closer.

"Hey, wanna see something cool?"

"Sure"

I woke up.

God damnit.

It was 9:30, I could walk to school if I wanted to. I didn't care, so I just threw on sneakers and decided I'd do whatever today.

I walked down stairs and smelled food. Really good food. Eggs and bacon. Mom must've been in a good mood. I darted down stairs into the kitchen and sat at the table in the middle of the kitchen. She was cooking.

"Want some orange juice?" She asked

I was ready for a huge meal. After all, I haven't actually kept something down in about a week.

She then turned around to give me the orange juice and instead of seeing my mother, it was Jeff's face on my mother's... Everything.

I jumped about six feet and screamed
