CRAZIEST STORY - Chapter 2

The next day I woke up around 9 am as it was a Sunday. I went to the kitchen. I saw Leslie was sitting on the couch seeing my album. He said, "Good morning!" and started laughing.

I said "Morning. Hey why are you laughing?"

"Nothing. Just seeing these pics. You were so different then!"

"What do you mean I was different?"

"I mean, you look crazy in these pics. These are your friends?"

"Oh. Yeah they are my friends. From high school. And yes I was crazy back then. We did all crazy things"

"Like?"

"Um... Like creating our own family!"

"What?" I laughed.

"Yeah we created a family. I and Sonali were crazy fans of the famous singer ENRIQUE IGLESIAS. We loved him like crazy! And one day I had a dream that I and Sonali are walking down the aisle and Enrique is on the other end. We get married to him after a running race!" He started laughing out loud!

"There's more! When we told this to others, Unnati decided that Enrique would be her father. And Niharika said she would be Unnati's daughter. So finally, we concluded that I and Sonali are Enrique's wives; Unnati our daughter and Niharika our grand-daughter" Leslie had turned red now. He was on the floor laughing like a mad person.

He said "Oh gosh! You are crazy! I can't stop laughing!"  I smiled and went to the kitchen to get my breakfast.

I said, "You had your breakfast?"

"Yeah". I sat on the table with my breakfast.

Leslie asked me "What is this???"

I turned around to see what he was talking about. It was the pact. I saw he had a smile on his face and tried to predict what would come next from his side. I was right. He started laughing again. He came to me and sat next to me and said "You people are crazy! I've heard people promising their friends about these kinds of trips but I'm seeing this for the first time in my life! You people signed an agreement for it! Amazing!!!" I grinned. 

It was afternoon. We were sitting on the couch watching a movie. I remembered I had to contact my Besties and give them a surprise. I said "Hey, you watch the movie. I need to make calls. Sorry."

"What happened?"

"I'm gonna contact my friends. I'm missing them now."

He smiled and said "Okay. No probs. Even I'll watch it later then."

I went to my room and started searching for their contact numbers. I prayed that they hadn't changed their contact numbers then!

 I first tried to contact Sonali. I dialed the number carefully and prayed that she didn't change her number.

"Hello?" 

"Hola!" 

"Yes? Who's this?" 

"The girl who was crazy for your man!" 

"Excuse me??!" 

"Idiota! You forgot me?" 

"Hello? Will you tell me straight away who you are? Or else I'll have to call up the police." 

"Idiota! C'mon! You cannot forget me! Remember about 6-7 years back? Enrique; you and me getting married to him; a mile long aisle?" 

"AISHU!" 

"Yes! Thank god you still remember me!" 

"Oh gosh! Darling! I missed you so much! You just disappeared! How are you?" 

"I'm fine. You?" 

"Me too." 

"So wassup? How's life goin’ on?" 

"Well nothing! Got bugged up now! Too much work stress. Seriously need a break now! Want to rest! Want to go for a vacation! A long one." 

"So pack your bags and get ready!" 

"What??! You mad? I need planning for it!" 

"We already planned it years back! You remember the pact we had signed in high school?" 

"Pact? Which pact? ...... Oh yeah the pact! Yes! Oh shitt! I almost forgot about it! Thanks for reminding me about it." 

"Well, I guess we should go for it now." 

"Yeah. But what about others. Did u contact them?" 

"Nah not yet! You are the first one I contact. Can you talk to Unnu and Kajal about it and let me know?" 

"Okay yeah sure."  I confirmed Niharika’s number with her and said goodbye.

Then I dialed Niharika's number. 

"Hello?" 

"Nihu?" 

"Yes? Who's this?" 

"This is Aishu here" 

"Hey! What a surprise! You just vanished! How are you?" 

"I'm fine. You? And how's life?" 

"Yeh I'm fine too." 

"Nice. Hey u remember we had signed the pact?" 

"Urm...... uh... yeah! Yeh I remember. About the trip na? Well, what about it?" 

"I was thinking we should go for it now." 

"Great! I was waiting for it! You talked to others about it?" 

"I talked to Sonali. She is excited about it. I asked her to contact Unnu and Kaju and tell me what they say" 

"Okay. Hey, why don't we chat on Facebook? We can talk with everyone and decide it all together about the trip." "Yeah that's a great idea. I'll ask Sonali to inform Unnu and Kaju."

"So we will meet online on Sunday afternoon?"

"Okay no problem"

"Okay don’t forget to tell Sonali about it ok?"

"Yeah won’t forget"

"Chal, I gotta go right now. Meet u on fb then. Bye"

"Bye"

I called up Sonali again to tell he about the chat we planned. Then I went to Leslie's room. He was engrossed in his work. I said "Hey!"

He turned round, smiled and said "Hi. So did u talk to them?"

"Yeah. We made a plan to go for the trip."

"Woah! That's great!"
