It was just a 2 hour flight. Sonali was still angry about what had happened at the London airport. Kajal was sitting beside her. I exchanged places with her for some time. I said to Sonali "So, u still angry?"
"No..... I'm really happy that the guy ran into me! So good na?!"
I laughed and said "C'mon now. Forget about it. Don't think much about it now. Think about MADRID now! MY hubby's homeland!"
"Shut up! HE IS MINE"
"No! Mine" and we both laugh.
Soon we landed on the Madrid airport and collected our bags. We took 2 taxis and went to a hotel. We got 2 rooms again. We went to our rooms and got fresh. We had our lunch in the hotel room itself. The food was delicious. We took a nap for some time.
I couldn't sleep. I tried but couldn’t. So I sat near the window and stared out. Around 4 pm Niharika woke up and saw me sitting near the window.
"Ajji... hehehe. What are you doing here?"
"Nothing. Couldn't sleep so sitting here and looking out at the city."
"Okay", she smiled.
"Coming for a walk? There's a beautiful lawn here”, I asked her.
"Yeah sure. Need to spread out my legs and have some exercise."
By the time Niharika got ready, I wrote a note saying:
"Gone for a walk with Nihu. Will be back in some time. Aishu xxx” and left it on the table.
The lawn was beautiful. A perfect place for anyone to relax or go in a deep thought. We walked along the pathway. There was silence for some time and then Nihu said, "Aishu... the guy in London. We met at the restaurant and you told us you met him at the LA airport..."
"Yeah what about him?"
"Aah! Forget it. I guess it ain't the right time." I guess I had understood what was going on in her mind. I wanted to avoid it right now. I thought, he is just a guy whom I talked to as a friend on the flight just to pass the time. We won't even meet again may be!
It was almost an hour now we were in the lawn. So we decided to move back to the room. Back in the room, Sonali, Unnati and Kajal were watching TV.
Sonali said "What? You both had gone for a walk or had gone for shopping?" I and Niharika laughed. Then we sat and planned about our MADRID TOUR. Unnati kept pronouncing the names of places in various and weirdest accents and we all laughed. It was 8 pm by the time we finished planning everything and decided to go out for the dinner.
We went to a restaurant - Casa Camino. The place was beautiful. Dim lights, maroon curtains all over, a slow Spanish song playing in the background. Just amazing. For a second I thought the place is more suitable for couples. We sat on one of the corner tables. We all wanted to have Chinese today so we ordered soup for starters. And rice, tofu and some noodles for main course. The soup was amazing. I loved it. We were waiting for the main course when sonali popped up the question, "So? How's life going on, girls?"
Unnati said "Mauja hi mauja!! But the job! Have to get up early in the morning, cook lunch n all. Kitna jhanjhat" We all laughed.
Sonali said "Haww!!! My bachcha cooks??? When did you learn cooking, Unnati?"
"Mumma ne sikhaya. Meri 'original' mummy ne."
"Okay, but what I actually meant was, did you people find anyone special?"
Kajal said, "What yaar Sonali?! You don't get anything else to talk kya? Always thinking and talking about guys!" We laughed. Unnati said "Niharika must have definitely got someone. Right Nihu?"
