Auria's POV
Arlyn stood. "It's been a month and you didn't plan to tell me? What is wrong with you? Why did you tell him?" He accused. I stood. "I didn't tell him. He.. knew. I don't know how she's there, or how he knew. I was planning on telling you when the time was right." Heturned away. "When the time was right? There's never atime. We both know that. You weren't going to tell me." I sighed. "It's not like it matters. You know those nightmares? The ones that haunt me constantly? That's her. Nobles don't dream, Arlyn, they see." I turned to Kai. "And, like he asked, how come you didn't hear them coming? Even my visions didn't answer that." He sighed. "I'm only half kaleik." I sat back down. "Half-n-halves, huh? That still doesn't explain how you knew, though. That Aileene was here." He looked away. "Kaleik thing. You know how they say they can see through your soul? It's true. Atleast for some of us. They kill most of the kaleiks with the ability. They assumed I didn't have it because I'm half human." I laughed. "Seems like I'm not the only half-n-half with a weird ability that half of me forbids. I won't tell anyojne. Let's just hope Arlyn doesn't, either.." Rain poured down around us. I crawled under the shelter with Kai, but Arlyn stayed outside. "I need to think." He said, disappearing into the trees. I sighed. "And there's the moody moonie I've yet to see. He's probably going to go play in the rain and brood. It's his thing. Though, I need to practice. I'm learning to use the other elements in my magic. He's been training me, but I can still do it on my own." I got out of the tent and winced. "Too much rain." I mumbled, sending a curtain of air around myself. I got out my dagger and held it close to my face. "Latonae tacitum tempus coepit. Ibi coepta silete a facie turbo impellens parietem." It glowed for a brief moment and I flung it out to the side. It transformed into a large black and red blade. I cut down some nearby branches and gathered them into a dummy. "Tal a bir sarath mi tan, Linne Tenoth." My sword transformed back into a dagger. I put it in its sheath. I held my arms to the sides, using my magic to pull the water from the rain to surround them. Tentacle-like branches of water encased my arms and I charged at the branch. They splashed around the tree and I heard Kai laugh. I blew the hair out of my face and stepped back. The branch snapped in half. I turned and put my hands on my hips. "Better not to doubt a powerful mage. We need to leave soon. I'll go find Arlyn." Kai nodded and I dove into the forest where Arlyn had went.
