Auria's POV
My eyes fluttered open to a familiar scene. Synius's house. His eerie smile crepped through the door. He looked disgusting smug, brandishing a curved blade. He calmly strolled over to me and held down my leg, running the blade down it. I screamed out in pain and he covered my mouth. I bitdown on his hand, but he didn't even notice. My leg bled profusly as he pulled the knife out. I started glowing for a moment. He backed away and held his arm, looking genuinely terrified. I didn't know anyone could make a noble scared. I held my leg and yelled out. I noticed through a flood of tears that his arm was bleeding through his hand. I also noticed a cut on his face. My vision faded from the blood loss.
I woke up fast, being that this was from the incubus. My arms, neck, and legs were bound. I sighed in realization that Synius had done this to prevent me from glowing again. My leg was loosely wrapped in cloth, blood stained. I winced when I touched it, causing the chains to groan in friction. I temporarily panicked when the image had the effect of burning before I realised the incubus was switching to another memory.
In this flashback, I had no bounds. I paced my cage in wait. Synius entered with a lance. He circled the prison, then decided to spear me through the shoulder. The same place the arrow hit.
The flashback blinked to Aileene. "Great. You again. Can you try to get me through to Kai?" I asked. She shook her head and smiled, opening her arms and walking towards me. I backed away. "No hugs. You're evil, and your friends just played pin~ata with my shoulder." She laughed. "Not funny. Thanks for pulling me out of the nightmares, but thanks for literally nothing else. You're the reason I'm here." She laughed and smiled. "Do you think I wanted to be resurrected? You know, it's painful. Not pleasant." I sighed. "I know what it feels like. You were the one to resurrect me. Now, can you atleast send a message to Kai? You're not affected by the incubus. Tell him I'm in a mossy rock form near a cliff, Adelaide should be able to find me." She nodded and disappeared, returning a moment later. I sat down and she came to sit beside me. I swirled some magic around my hand. A light bulb moment came across Aileene's face and she stood up. "Let's practice your noble magic." She waved her hand and a vision of Synius appeared. I got into a fighting pose. Aileene's voice echoed in my head. "Act like you're about to conjure fire. Now, focus your anger onto Synius." I nodded and channeled my energy into my hand. A miniature explosion of white occured in my palm. It continued up my arms and onto my face. I held out my hands and it expanded to cut Synius. Little veins of the light sliced Synius up, flaying his skin. He backed up again, giving a deeper reaction than he did the first time. I smirked and continued doing this until he lay on the ground, defeated. Aileene regenerated him and I mastered him, time and again. I left a jolt on my real body and paused. My vision flickered back to Aileene and came to rest on darkness.

I sat up with a jolt, wincing as it stretched my shoulder. Kai hugged me and I yelped. "Oh, sorry. Forgot." I bit my lip in pain. "Doesn't help a poisoned shoulder when you have to climb on it." He laughed. "You're lucky Adelaide found you." Adelaide bowed a little bit. "By the way, you really have to work on your cameoflauge. You're also very lucky that they didn't have nature mages with them." We all laughed. I noticed Faelern sitting on a log outside of the rock formation. Kai wrapped my shoulder and I touched the scar on my leg, now exposed by the torn piece of my pants. I blushed, realising that Arlyn had probably sliced it open to make sure I had the mark. I stood and put my hand on the wall. I stumbled outside of the rock, still drowsy. My hair had grown past my shoulders. I tied it into pigtail braids and sat next to Faelern. His hair was messy and had leaves in it. Kai put a blanket around my shoulders and sat next to me. I pulled the blanket around me and shivered, breathing out a white cloud of air. Snow flakes fell from the sky, cascading in flurries. I held out my hand and a few bunched in my palm. I melted them and then recreated them perfectly. Adelaide looked at my hand while I did this, but looked away. "Not every snowflake is different, it seems.."
