"I'm comin' over, runnin' every red light
To hell with the closure - save it for another time
Try not to think about you, but it ain't workin'
Why put out a fire that's burnin'"
- Chris Young

Without hesitation I clicked redial.

Voicemail.

I waited a moment and did it again.

Redial.

Voicemail.

Redial.

Voicemail.

What did I do? Why did she hang up on me. I was apologizing! I'd call one more time. If she didn't answer then it wasn't meant to be.

Redial.

Silence.

"Ashtyn?"

"Not now Josh." She spoke between sobs. "Please"

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you cry."

"You didn't...I" she fell into a fit of tears.

"Are you still in Vancouver?"

She sobbed. "No"

"Where are you then?"

Silence.

"Ashtyn I want to see you. And talk to you. In person. Please."

"Minnesota." She exhaled. "St. Paul."

The United States. "What are you doing there?" I smirked.

She paused and collected herself. "I'm in my senior year of college."

Damn. "Damn! So, uh what are you studying? Er what's your major? Is that what it's called?"

"Yes. It's called a major. And I'm an Ed major and English minor."

"Plan on becoming a teacher then?"

She sniffled.

"That's awesome." I paused. "Can I please come see you?"

"All I do is go to class, go to work and sleep." She sighed.

"Where do you work?" I asked.

"I work at the bookstore on campus. It doesn't sound like a lot of work but it kind of is."

"What campus?"

"Josh please."

"Ashtyn I want to see you."

"I want to see you too but I can't Josh! It's not that easy." Silence. "Can I go to bed?"

"Okay. Goodnight Ashtyn" I love you.

"Goodnight Josh." Dial tone.

Time to find all the colleges in St. Paul Minnesota. This might take a while. I would go see her.
