Violets POV

We went back with Bonnie and Sheila. We noticed that Elena wasn't there. "Where's Elena?" Stefan asked, worried. "Damon took her inside." Bonnie said. "What?!" Stefan was just about to walk inside the tomb when Sheila stopped him. "Stefan, if you go in there you won't come out." Sheila said.

"What did you do?" Stefan asked. "Opening the door didn't remove the seal, it just opened the door." She said. "What's the seal?" I asked. "Some seals keep vampires from entering. This one keeps them from coming out." She said. "Elena's human, she can leave. Anna and Katherine can't. Damon can't." Stefan said.

"You weren't even planning on breaking the spell were you?" He asked. "I told you, I will protect my own. Elena can get out, that's all that matters." Sheila said. A few moments later, we heard a scream come from inside the tomb. Stefan ran in and I was about to follow till Sheila and Bonnie stopped me.

"Stefan!" I cried out. "You can't just leave him in there." Bonnie and I said. "He made his choice!" Sheila said. "No." Bonnie whispered. She went to the grimore and flipped through the pages. "Just tell me what to do. I'll do it." Bonnie said. "We are not strong enough! Even if we were able to break the seal, there's no guarantee we could get the seal back up." Sheila explained.

"You said it yourself- many things can fuel a witch's power. Help me or I'll do it by myself!" Bonnie said. They started going through the book and finding the spell. I heard footsteps and Elena ran out of the tomb. "Elena, Stefan-" "He's right behind me." Elena said.

We heard footsteps and Elena turned around. Stefan slowly walked to the entrance and stayed there. "Stefan what are you doing?" Elena asked. "It's gonna be ok. We'll fix it." Bonnie said. "What is it?" Elena asked. "I can't." Stefan sighed. "Can't? Can't what?" Elena asked.

"The spell's still up. We can't get them out. Yet." I said. "You went in there not knowing you could come back out?" Elena asked. Stefan stayed silent and looked to the ground. "Oh my god." Elena breathed out. "I heard you scream." Stefan said. "We can't leave him in there. We promised him." Elena said, referring to Damon. "I know." Stefan said.

"Even if we were able to break the seal, we won't be able to hold it for long." Sheila said. Stefan nodded his head and ran back in, getting Damon. Bonnie and Sheila started chanting the spell. The fire grew and Elena and I were anxious. "I think it's working!" Elena said. Anna and another woman came out. The lady seemed..weak? And familiar.

"I just wanted my mother back. Jeremy's outside. We won't touch him." Anna said. They left and the fire was starting to go out. "They better hurry!" Sheila said. "Stefan hurry! They can't hold it much longer!" Elena and I shouted. The witches were struggling and Elena and I could tell. She ran back inside and I just stayed behind. Sheila and Bonnie kept chanting but the torches were going out one by one.

"I can't." Bonnie said. "Yes you can!" Sheila said and they chanted again. Damon was the first to come out, then Elena and Stefan. The door closed and the witches stopped chanting. By the looks of it, I could tell Damon was angry. Stefan and Elena went outside, Damon and I following behind. Elena walked up to Damon and hugged him. "I'm sorry." She said to him. I stood by Stefan, not understanding any of it.

"I'll tell you later." Stefan whispered to me as he wrapped an arm around my shoulder. We all went our separate ways. Bonnie and her grandmother went to their home, Elena took her brother to their home, and Damon left somewhere we didn't know. On the way back to the house, Stefan explained to me how Damon was looking for a girl named Katherine. He said I wouldn't understand now but later I would remember her.

Stefan told me how Katherine wasn't inside the tomb. He told me Damon would be a bit angry so I should watch out for that. Damon came home and pushed past us. Stefan got a call and went outside. Damon sat on one of the chairs in front of the fire. I walked next to his chair and sat on the floor. We both stayed silent and stared at the fire. "Hey. I'm sorry about what happened." I said, breaking the silence. Damon didn't say anything.

Stefan came in and sat on the other chair. The names of the vampires kept flooding my head and I couldn't help but think why they sounded familiar. Anna, Pearl, and Katherine. Then I got another memory back. It was small but it still hurt my head. I winced and groaned, making my two brothers turn around.

The three of us were in the garden, playing with a football. It was a game that Damon had learned from one of his friends. I laughed as Damon tried grabbing the ball from Stefan. Just then, Katherine appeared and asked if she could play. "You could get hurt. My brother plays rough. Violet's used to it though." Stefan said. Katherine grabbed the ball from Stefan and ran.

"Violet your mother wants you." The lady that was with Katherine said. I nodded my head and left. I watched my brothers and Katherine from the window. I was a bit jealous since I really liked the game and wanted to play. Also because I was usually the one to get attention and I loved my brothers.

My mother had said something but I didn't hear her. I was focused on the game. "Violet Salvatore! I am talking to you!" Mother snapped. "Sorry mother." I apologized.

A tear escaped my eye as I had remembered who my mother was. "What's wrong?" Stefan asked. The boys were on the floor in front of me. "I remember about mother and Kath-" I stopped when I realized I was about to say Katherine's name. I didn't want to make Damon angry again. "We were playing football in the garden." I said.

"You remembered mom huh?" Stefan asked and I nodded my head. "It was the same day Damon accidentally broke one of the vases inside the house." Stefan said and Damon have a small smile. "Boy, was mom mad!" Damon said and I chuckled, remembering the small memory.
