>Violet<

Damon and Stefan were very uptight today. Mostly because of the fact that Elena's dad, John, and some other people were going to expose the vampires by using some kind of device. Also some vampires from the tomb were planning on attacking the founding families.

I was walking around the square with Damon. He stopped and turned around. "You're still around?" He asked. I turned around and saw Anna. She looked around and pulled us aside. "There's something you need to know. The vampires from the tomb are planning an attack tonight." She said. "How do you know this?" Damon asked.

"I went to them. They think I'm with them, but I'm not." She said. "They want the founding families dead." She continued. "When is this supposed to happen?" I asked. "When the fireworks start." She said. "John Gilbert wants to use that invention on them." Damon said. "Then we can't be here." Anna said. "It doesn't work. It's been deactivated." Damon explained. "Then a lot of people are going to die." Anna said.

Damon looked at me and pulled me away. We went to Alaric. "You keep those nifty little vampire weapons in the car?" Damon asked. "Yeah. Why do you ask?" Alaric asked. "Because this square is crawling with tomb vampires. I think we might need a stake or two." Damon said. "Ok got it." Alaric nodded his head and left. "What do I do?" I asked.

"We have to warn Stefan." He said. I looked around and spotted Elena and Stefan. "Over there." I pointed. We went up to them and stopped them. "15 words or less. Tomb vampires are here. They want the founding families dead. Get her out of here." Damon quickly explained. "Wait. Where are you going?" Stefan asked. "That's more than 15 words." Damon said as he walked off.

Elena remembered about Jeremy and we went to look for him. The mayor got on stage and started his speech. When he mentioned the firework show, I grabbed Stefan. "What's wrong?" He asked. "The attack begins when the fireworks start." I said. "Enjoy the show!" The mayor said just as the fireworks started.

We started walking towards the grill when this high pitched screeching sound rang through my ears. Me and Stefan both dropped to the ground. "What..the hell?" I groaned. "Stefan what's wrong?" Elena asked. "My head." He managed to get out. My head was pounding and I didn't know exactly what this was.

"Make it stop!" I cried. I looked around and saw a cop come towards us but Alaric stopped them. He grabbed Stefan and Elena helped me up. "They both just dropped. I don't know what's happening." She said. "They're not the only ones. Cops are grabbing everyone down and injecting them with vervain." Alaric explained.

"Please. Elena. It hurts." I cried. She held onto me and tried calming me down. Stefan seemed to calm down and wasn't in pain anymore. On the other hand, I was still in pain. Except this time it was throughout my body instead of my head. My vision also seemed to slowly go away. It was complete darkness. "Violet. What's wrong?" Alaric asked. "The device is off otherwise I would still be in pain." Stefan said.

"I..can't..see." I groaned. "What do you mean?" Elena asked. I felt a hand touch me and I heard a small groan. The hand came off and the groaning stopped. "What the hell?" I heard Stefan mumble. I realized what was going on.

"Call..Luke." I breathed out. There was a small moment of silence before I heard a voice. "Hello?" Luke answered. "Violet's in pain and she says she can't see." Stefan said. The pain seemed to grow more and I screamed. "Make it stop!" I yelled. I felt a hand cover my mouth. I heard a scream and the hand came off.

"Let me see her." I heard. I assume he meant on FaceTime. "Violet babe. Talk to me." He said. "It hurts. So much." I cried. "When we touch her, we start to feel pain." Stefan said. "I can't believe it. She's getting her powers." Luke said. "Powers? We don't get powers." Stefan said. "We do and I was the one to change her so she has my venom." Luke explained.

"Violet needs to cause pain on someone. The pain will go away once she does." Luke said. I heard some shuffling and then felt some hands on my arms. I heard groaning and I realized it was Stefan. "Violet. Stop." He said. My pain slowly started going away and I wasn't screaming anymore. I could feel Stefan wasn't in pain either.

The only problem now was that I couldn't see.

"You okay now Vi?" I heard Luke ask. "Yes." I said. "But I can't see." I said. "What do you mean? Like at all?" Luke asked. "Yeah." I said. "Wait her eyes are fully black." Alaric pointed out. "Let me get the boys." Luke said. "She's getting her powers!" I heard Luke say. He quickly explained what was going on. "Thank god I carry this book with me." I heard Ashton say.

"I think you're getting two powers. It seems like the first one is a shocking ability. This one though, seems to be a blinding ability." Ashton said. "What do I do?" I asked. "Grab someone and use your power." He said. I held my hand out and felt someone's hand in mine.

"Think about passing that darkness to the person." I heard Calum speak. I did and surely but slowly my vision was coming back.

I looked around and saw I had used the power on Alaric. "Weirdly amazing." He whispered. I let go of his hand and his eyes turned back to normal. "Congrats Violet." Ashton said. "No fair. You get two powers." Michael said. "Shit! We gotta go!" Calum said.
