*Zoe's POV*
Why did I do that? Did I want us to be more than friends? I couldn't want that though. Maybe I could want that, if he did too. But why would he I'm just his friend, best friend. I got pulled into the sea of people. I could feel my breathing get heavier. All of these different feelings and thoughts swirling round in my head were driving me nuts. I reached for my phone. Louise was calling.
"Hey chummy," I said trying to sound happy.
"What's wrong?" Louise questioned straight away with worry in her voice.
"Nothing, I'm fine. Really." I said hoping she would believe me.
"Okay. Where are you?" She asked still sounding worried.
"I just got on the train." I said as I got on the crowded underground train. I needed to find some where to sit. I found a seat and collapsed into it. I felt so claustrophobic.
"Okay I am in Starbucks. What do you want?" She said. She sounded more cheery now that she knew I would be about five minutes.
"Hot choccie please." I replied. I felt better now knowing that I was on my way to meet Louise and have a proper chat.
"Okay. See you soon." She said.
*Alfie's POV*
I walked into top man to find Marcus browsing the racks. He looked happy and content like everything was perfect and figured out. I wish I felt like that.
"Hey, what took you so long? Doing something cheeky?!" He asked menacingly.
"No! Just making plans." I replied still thinking about what Zoe had done.
"Ooooohhhh plaannnsss!" Marcus said winking.
"Oh shut up. She doesn't even like me that way," I said without thinking.
"But you do?" Marcus said as he turned to look at me from the shoes he was holding.
"Uh... no... I mean... I..." I replied making a fool out of myself.
"You do!!! WE HAVE A CONFESSION!" Marcus said making the last bit sound like a tannoy announcement.
"Sssshhh. Marcus! I am telling you this in confidence, don't go blabbering it to the whole world!" I hissed.
*Zoe's POV*
I got off the train feeling a lot better. People were staring on the train so it was good to get off. It was because I was breathing quite heavily. I made my way through the crowds of people which I hated. It made me feel so... anxious. I went up the stairs and crossed the road. I saw Louise in the window of Starbucks, she was over exaggeratingly pointing at my hot chocolate. She had bought me a huge one with whipped cream and marshmallows. This is why I loved her! I skipped in and gave her a huge bear hug.
"Thank you so much! This is just what I need, a girly chat and a hot choccie!" I said gratefully.
"That's okay. I could tell something was up. Now tell Chummy all about it!" She said, saying the last part sarcastically.
