*Zoe's POV*

"Zoe wake up. We have arrived." Alfie whispered into my ear. The drive had been long and I must've fallen asleep.
"I'm up. Where are we?" I asked looking around at the wide expanse of fields in front of me.
"Come have a look." Alfie calmly said. I clambered out of the car making lots of noise compared to the silent outside. My heart stopped. The view was breathtaking. We were on a small hill that looked down onto the cliff edge. Beneath the cliff was a beautiful beach that was completely deserted.
"Alfie. Wow. This is amazing!" I softly whispered not wanting to completely disrupt the silence.
"I'm glad you like it. I'll go get our bags and put them in the pod."
"Okay- wait, what 'pod'" I asked excitedly.
"That one over there." He pointed to a small wooden pod that was just behind us further up the hill.
"Are we staying here?" I asked quizzically.
"Yeah. For four nights. I hope you don't mind." He said anxiously.
"No, this is great! But why?" I said. I was so grateful for what Alfie had done but couldn't help wondering why he had gone to all this trouble for me. Did he have feeling for me like I do for him?

*Alfie's POV*

"Zo, how many sausages do you want?" I was cooking a small dinner for us on a portable barbecue. Not the easiest thing to do but it was okay.
"Two please!" Zoe shouted from further down the hill. She was sat watching the sunset.
"Okay. Done!" I called her up as the dinner was ready.
"Mmm. Looks delicious! Have you seen the sunset? It's beautiful." She rambled on about the sun as we tucked into our sausage, bacon and beans. I wanted to tell her right then how I felt but I couldn't bring myself to do it. I'm scared of rejection. Everything would be ruined if she didn't like me back. Our friendship would go down the drain and so would living with her. She would move out as soon as she could.
I would tell her tomorrow.
