"And we know that all things work together for good to those whom love God, and are called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28

There once was a girl who hated her dark brown eyes, she wanted pretty blue ones like the girls at school. Every day she prayed for God to change them. She would pray every night, yet awake to find her brown eyes were still- brown. This lasted for years until around 15 years of age when she learned to accept the fact her eyes were brown. This girl is know a woman. She is a missionary, who sneaks young woman out of temples where they are used a sex slaves. She has to cover everything but her eyes in order to blend in. With her large brown eyes no one ever looks twice, and she has saved countless lives this way.

A lot of us may feel this way at times. We all have our "brown eyes." All of us have a past we wish God would take away. But we have to trust that God ultimately has a plan for every one of these things in our lives. He knows our sorrows and hardships and He has a plan to work it together for our good. Even if it's something we didn't choose, like having divorced parents or being molested, He has a plan. In fact it's foolish of us to believe we can even comprehend the good in store for us.

See for yourself: Jeremiah 29:11

Today's challenge: Trust His plan.

Shalom.
