Ch.5 Father Time

After breakfast, we went to a part of the mansion I had never been to. Hmmm I should really get to know this place and the people here. Why can't I be more out-going? I'm such a douche. I am a bad person.

"Behind this door is a future you can avoid. If you open it, I'll expand your world, or, you can just walk out and go on with your life without me."

"Screw that, Bunny Lord, after all the grief you gave me so far, I'm not turning back now. Besides, you still have to answer my question." With that, I opened the door to.... A broom closet. FML

"Why so disappointed?" The ijit said as he laughed at me. Before I could answer, he turned on the light and a secret door opened. The opening was too dark to show what laid beyond that scary-butt threshold. Don't  judge me for not cussing! Cussing shows lack of imagination. I like to use other words to replace the bad ones to show I can think outside the flipping box.

He turned on a light and I saw a stairwell that led down into the darkness. Following his lead, we went down the rabbit hole. I almost regret my decision, almost. Time to see what I'm gonna see.

"Where does this lead?" I ask with a faint tremble in my voice.

"This is a null space between realms. Once you initiate movement, you have to keep moving or get stuck between the moment in time between one second and the next. It's not a great way to live. Just follow me and whatever you do, don't touch anything!"

"Null space? Are you Fae? I mean the only beings I know who jump realms are Fae and the Devine. Looking at you, I don't think you are Devine."

"My my my! You are perhaps the first person I've come across to guess near correctly what I am! Simply splendid child! Splendid! And here we are!"

At the end of the stairwell was a huge crazy looking door. As I walked up to it, the carved figures reached out and tried to grab me! I squeaked and jumped to the Bunny and held him tight. No way am I gonna die here! I want answers. As he pushed the door open I gasped in fright. A wailing like nothing I have never heard before started to come out of what I guess is a room beyond the door!

"Don't be alarmed child. The sound is merely the cries of a prisoner being eaten alive. You'll get used to the sound I promise. Nothing tastes better than a still very much alive person getting cooked and eaten fresh off the fire. Think of the screams of agony and despair as sweet music you would hear at a party. And so I followed him into the room.

   The vastness of it was amazing! It looked like is one room could hold 2 football fields and still have room to spare! "What is this place?"

"This is a part of the void I made just for you to train in. Right now it is empty, but, as you progress in ability both mental and physical, you'll be able to call forth what you need as you need it for training."

"Cool. You think you can tell me who you are now?"

"Very well have a seat this will be a while." He summoned up 2 chairs from somewhere and we sat down.

"My name is Drakonius Drakon. I am the last of my kind still awake. I am a Grand Gold and Ebony Dragon. Since you a familiar with the Fae, you should know about dragons correct?"

"I think I do, there a 2 types of dragon, the true dragon and the dragon shifter. The dragon shifter is dark Fae and are people who shift into dragons. Even though they have an inner dragon, they are still just humans who shift. True dragons have no inner dragon because they are dragons who shift into humans. They are of course light Fae but refuse to be part of the court and would rather sleep for all eternity."

"Very good! I am indeed a part of the light Fae but more importantly, I am very active in the court. I am the God Emperor of the void between realms and the Eternal Lord of the Wilde Hunt. I have vast armies but because I'm a lazy dragon, I don't want to lead them. I'm the kind of God King that would rather hand out power and immortality than actually lead people. Where we are now is the void between realms. This is a hub I have created that has direct links to the light court, the dark court and of course the earth we live on. I have portals strategically placed in all 4 realms to allow quick reaction teams to get to where they are needed should I call forth a hunt. As a token of esteem and trust, you may call me the stupid names you have but in front of company, please call my Drakon."

"Ok, I can do that my Lord of the Bunnies. Wow, you're a dragon huh?  How old are you? You look like a delicious 20 I mean ummm....a young 20."

The ijit laughed at me! "As I positioned the portals about the realms, I came across an unintended consequence. The time flow became warped and warbled. For some reason during the early stages of my early 20's, I would go portal to portal testing things out but found out just how messed up magic can be! Travel between portals became possible because I shifted time and space. Since 1 object can't be in 2 places at the same time the magic of the portals displaced time and caused it to catch up to the traveler once they leave the portal. In other words, the actual distance and time between portals gets displaced and once you reach your destination, the time catches you up and you age accordingly."

"So in other words Fuzzy, you're older than dirt. Wow, you are an old old man!" I laughed.
