Chapter Twelve: Road to Recovery

After I recovered from that punch I awoken in the hospital wing Jorden was next to me on a chair sleeping. He looked like he was crying I frown I felt guilty for worrying him I shooked him. He awoken with a jolt I had small smile on my face because of that. Once he calm down he picked me swinging me around apologizing for hitting me I hugged him telling him that I was fine. Our moment was cut short by Madam Pomfrey who wanted to take my vials and to check the bruise on my stomach to which Jorden put me down on my bed and waited outside me. I frowned asking Madam Pomfrey if Professor Snape was alright she laughed telling me that he was shaken up a bit by the incident but only suffered a few bruises. I nodded glad that he was alright, now I just have to convince Jorden that i'm fine then maybe he will stop being so gloomily. I was snapped out of my thoughts when Madam Pomfrey said that I was fit to go I thanked her then headed out. I was stopped by the twins, who for once did not try to drag me anywhere instead they were shouting franticly that Jorden was going Dumbledore's office to quit. I was shocked at this news but I quickly thanked them then headed towards the headmasters office to stop my foolish cousin from doing anything rash. While running I accidentally ran into a ghost by the looks of it I was suddenly stopped but Myrtle she looked angry but calmed down a bit when she saw that it was me. "Where are going in such a hurry?" She asked. "To Professor Dumbledore's office." I told her, "Do you even know where it is?" She asked then I thought about it and told her, "No. Not really because last year Harry had taken us there." She laughed as I frowned realizing this then she said, "I'll show you where it's at." I followed her to a gargoyle thing stood she started listing candies until the gargoyle moved I looked at her quizzically she then said that he uses candy names as passwords. I giggled at this but then I remembered what I was doing here I quickly thanked her then went up the stairs where I saw them, "Wait! I yelled they all looked at me I huffed for minute then asked my cousin, "Why are you quitting?" He looked at me surprised then asked, "How did you know that?" I then frown saying, "So it's true then?" He looked down telling me, "Yeah it's true." "Why?" I asked sadly. "Because I don't want to hurt you again." I was shocked but said to him, "I told you that I fine! It was only a bruise! I'm-" "No your not fine! What if I hit you with a bat or a spell or something? I could of killed you,Tiger!" He screamed at me, I was scared he never screamed at me even if we were fighting. I got mad, he was running away because he was scared. I then told him, "You're such a coward!" Everyone in the room was silent I continued, "You've alway trying to escape your problems instead of facing them head on. If your going to leave just know this your leaving your friends behind even if you'll never admit it but where will you or in this case we since you are my legal guardian your choices do not only effect you,Jorden. They effect everyone around you." I then left him with that heading out the stairs. I tried to keep it together at the last step I saw Myrtle, "Hey, are you alright?" I just shooked my head, "Come on." She said I followed her willing. It became cold like that time in second year I then looked down, we were in one of the corridors but my body was bellow me. I start shaking,"M-M-Myrtle!" I called for her desperately hoping that she could tell me what happened. She turned around and was silent but the look on her face told me that she was in between laughing or horror, lucky for me she choose horror. "What did you do?" She asked me. "I don't know! One second i'm following you and the next i'm this!" I motion toward myself. "It's okay it's not that bad." She told me patting my hand. I shivered, "What? You're cold." I told her. "Stay right there." She told me then floated off somewhere then I heard a scream. "Oh no." I muttered I then try to float down to the screaming but I somehow ended up falling. "Ow." I muttered then looked up. It was Hermione, she had discovered me or at least my body I think? "Hermione, calm down. I'm-" "There you are. I heard Myrtle say then added, Looks like the Granger girl found you. That reminds me a bit of my death." She sighed then Hermione then turned toward us, "What happened to Tiger?" She demanded, I had admit now I see why Ron and Harry are a bit scared of her. Hermione, "I'm right here. C-Can't you see me?" I said the last part sadly because I was starting to believe that she couldn't see me. My thoughts were confirmed when she ignored me asking Myrtle again on what happened. Myrtle ignored Hermione telling me to follow her as we left I saw that Hermione was confused and sad. "Where are we going?" I asked walking as she floated, helping me as well she told me that we were going to a meeting. We then reached a dead end she floated up I tried to do the same but failed she then grabbed my hands pulling me up to the meeting room. It was small holding each of the house ghosts and unfortunately Peeves as well. The friar offered me a seat near him to which I thanked him for as Myrtle sat next to me. Sir Nicholas then started the meeting by asking me what had happened. After I told them they looked at each other but Peeves spoke first,"Maybe she is dead and our famous bathroom girl takes the credit?" while looking at Myrtle with a snide smile. Myrtle looked as if she was ready to crying I then said to him, "Shut up Peeves and leave my friends alone." I then turned toward Sir Nicholas, "Please continue." He cleared his voice telling me that this appears to be some type of advance protection spell or charm they were not sure which but they did knew that I wasn't dead only in a dead like state. I nodded in understanding but was confused, "Um,Sir Nicholas who would have the magic to create such a charm or spell?" "That we do not know since it's not written." "They must have been brilliant." I commented. When the meeting was over Myrtle helped me down, well she tried then I fell. "Spell or no spell it still hurts." I told her getting up. "Come on lets go see if Granger told anyone yet." As we made it down my body was gone I was starting to freak out. What my cousin saw me? After what I said to him he's probably a wreak. who knows what he'll do. "We have to find my body." I said to her. "Calm down, You're not dead so you will probably give out heat. Let's go to the hospital wing." I ran as she floated I saw my friends and family hovering over me Hermione must have spotted Myrtle because he looked like she wanted to murder her on the spot she then said to me, "Try to get back inside." My cousin was in rage, he demanded Myrtle to tell us who she was talking to. I walked to my body then focus trying to get in but it didn't work. Then I heard a voice whisper, "live." I then remember how to get in. There was flashing light it was blue and green my favorite colors then I woken in a bed I got up slowly. Once I sat up my cousin hugged me after I was good to go. He told me that, "I'm staying in order to keep a better eye on you because Severus obviously can't do it." Professor Snape just rolled his eyes while my cousin laughed. I was just glad that he was still here with me.
