We'll safety pin the broken pieces of our broken hearts back together, patching up all the holes until we both feel much better.
"Kirst." Mitch knows she spent the whole night crying about how nervous she is and her anxiety about the upcoming concerts. It are coming to an end and her sanity is like giving up.
She wants to try resisting it but she just can't help but feel mixed emotions.
It has been their ritual to cry whenever they want to cry. They allow themselves, except for Mitch. Mitch seldom cried about his own anxiety because he never wanted someone to worry about him, and he will never let stress govern himself for one more day again.
"M-Mitch." Kirstie sniffed. She always looked this adorable whenever she cried at the presence of someone else. You just can't even find a flaw on Kirstie, but whenever she cries, there will be a crack on your heart.
"What do I do?" She was already shaking. "My nerves feel like exploding again."
Mitch hugged her. Mitch hugged the woman whom he lived for. Mitch hugged the woman who deserves to be the happiest queen of her most deserving king. Mitch hugged the lady who made him crazy. Mitch hugged Kirstie.
"Shh, just stop thinking about everything else, it's uncertain. Start thinking of right now, not the future or the past, or whatever that stresses you out like this." Mitch cooed.
"Sing a song for me." Kirstie said. "Then, I shall sleep in peace."
"Are you sure you want me to sing a song?" Mitch said. "It may wake up someone sleeping in this bus."
"Any calming song, please." Kirstie held Mitch's chest which made him slowly lay down with her.
He sat his back straight on the wall of Kirstie's bunk while his body was on the bed. Kirstie was on the inner side of the bed, not prone in the danger of falling, clinging on Mitch's shirt like it was her shelter.
"When the rain is blowing in your face, and the whole world is on your case, I could offer you a warm embrace, to make you feel my love." Mitch smiled at the choice of his song. He never knew where he got it, but he knew Kirstie might be relaxed by it.
Kirstie knows. She knows when they last sang the song, or the last time they danced to it. She clearly remembers it. It was on their wedding.
She can't help but to cry tears of joy with Mitch's angelic voice. And with the memories flooding in? She just wishes for this to last.
She couldn't sleep fast because of it, but her weariness demanded sleep very much.
"Go to the ends of the Earth for you, to make you feel my love... To make you feel my love." Mitch smiled.
He was tired as well, but he still had the strength to go silently to his bunk. Unfortunately, revealing the curtains, Scott seemed to hear his singing and Avi was also staring at Kirstie's bunk.
Mitch didn't get the chance to move.
"Don't worry, I just came here from the bathroom." Avi whispered and went to his bunk as Mitch stared at his back, still in shock.
"And what are you doing there, Irene?" Scott asked.
"She's trying to cope anxiety and I just helped her." Mitch whispered, carefully removing Kirstie's embrace.
"She's still my best friend, Sherlock." Mitch playfully punched Scott's arm and went to his own bunk.
"Sure, best friend you say." Scott rolled his eyes and went to his bunk to sleep as well.
