Never thought that it would end. Holding on to memories, and I can't let go. I wanna go back from where we started.
"I became such an imperfect boyfriend to you." Mitch whimpered. "You don't deserve me in all that you are. I let you go as you went, because I thought my pain was your happiness."
He was crying with his eyes closed, never minding if Kirstie was watching. And for Kirstie, it was very painful to watch that she cried on every single word from Mitch.
"But I miss you, that's why I couldn't keep it to myself I kissed you that night. It was all on me, I needed a release." Mitch cried. "Why do I keep falling back to you?"
His voice became groggy and he sniffed hard now.
"You used to stare on my eyes and just do it until I smile at you, to be honest, that's the most beautiful sight ever." Mitch told her. "You still do it and maybe, that became your mannerism, but it hurts me, sweetheart."
Kirstie cried as he poured his feelings out. It was her fault after all, but no, it's both of them who caused the crime.
They ranted to each other until 4am struck when they have become weary of complaining. Whatever complain, they won't really rewind the time to heal their hearts, or to wash away all the guilt.
"Stay beside me tonight." Mitch said and Kirstie just nodded.
It triggered Mitch's tears as he added, "For the last time."
Kirstie tried not to cry because she's so tired of it, but she never really got rid of her love for Mitch.
They laid themselves on Kirstie's bed and felt the rest.
Kirstie held Mitch tight and kissed his cheek. "I'll miss you sweetcheeks." She whispered.
"Me too to you, my one and only sweetheart." He replied as they drifted to sleep.
After dreams here and there, they woke up and went to the last place to go. They brought everything they needed to bring for this messed up thing be finished.
"Are you ready?" Mitch said. "For the last step."
Kirstie sighed as she felt that heavy weight on her shoulders. She always had this and it's time to let go, she guesses.
Their flight was still later afternoon so they might have enough time to finish it all.
They went somewhere and Mitch rented bikes from there. Kirstie was clueless of what they will do.
As the driver of their car and Mitch carried the bike to its designated place, Kirstie just watched.
When they got finished, they quickly went to the Lands End, biking to the edge of the place to reveal a cliff-like view.
Kirstie gasped at the beauty of the place and left her bike to see more of it.
Mitch went closer to Kirstie and said, "We are the only people here so far." He laughed.
"And it's too beautiful." Kirstie said. "What have I ever done to deserve seeing this?"
"But are you ready now?" Mitch asked and held something in his palm.
Kirstie saw what he got in his hand and got hers as well.
Mitch called Scott with his other hand and told Scott to just stay in the line to witness the happening.
He made the driver hold the phone.
"Okay." Mitch told Kirstie. "Follow after me as I say something, copy everything I say with your own version."
Kirstie tilted her head in confusion and Mitch just said, "You'll understand after I do it."
Then Mitch faced the waters by the edge, shouting, "I, Mitchell Coby Michael Grassi, solemnly release my other half, Kirstin Taylor Maldonado, as the always to my forever!"
As he finished, he tossed the ring to the ocean. It was promising, and Mitch was proud of it.
Kirstie sighed and felt that gunshot on her heart, because hearing someone you love to let you go is not the best thing. But, she tried doing the same thing.
"I, Kirstin Taylor Maldonado, solemnly release Mitchell Coby Michael Grassi, as the forever to my always!"
She took all the energy from her body to toss the ring to the ocean. After doing so, she sighed and shouted in relief. She smiled at herself as the weight on her shoulders flew away.
They both sat on the ground as their driver gave the cellphone to Mitch, "Heard it all?" He asked.
"Yes Mitch, I did." Scott said.
"Thank you Scott, thank you very much." Mitch said as he ended the call and let his back fall to the ground.
"This is exhausting!" Mitch shouted.
"I thought I was gonna faint." Kirstie laughed.
They both had that feeling on the heart which got the static. It felt good but at the same time, it felt so wrong.
After some moment of thinking, they stood up and Kirstie tried restarting their relationship.
"Hi there, I'm Kirstin, nicknamed Kirstie, or that girl from the Pentatonics." Then laughed.
Mitch extended his hand, "Hello, nice to meet you. I'm Mitchell Grassi, call me Mitch. Am from Texas." He laughed as Kirstie shook his hand.
"Hi Mitch."
"Hello Kirstie."
And they're ending it all just to start new beginnings.
