Chapter Seven: Not The Only Ones...

Jodelle's POV

(If you don't know her, she plays Bree in Eclipse. See first few chapters of this book. And also, this is a continuation of the last chapter.)

We had just wrapped up our baseball game for the day. But I still had this super creepy and eerie feeling that someone was watching us. I looked around. I almost fainted at the sight. Luckily no one saw my reaction. There, perched up on one of the tree branches was Alice, Alice Cullen.

My eyes almost fell out of their sockets. What was she doing up there? I know she's a vampire and that vampires are indestructible, but seriously! Of all the places! The answer hit me fast, like a slap on the face.

She was spying on us. She probably had the others with her as well. But I couldn't see them anywhere. They must be too well camouflaged or hidden in the trees.

Her eyes and face masked a mix of emotions. From guilt and fear, to curiosity and something else entirely. It was an emotion of... I don't know! Knowledge, maybe? Of course!

She also must have been there in the field also! Watching us with hawk eyes, since the creepy feeling started over there. I'm even willing to bet that she hung on to every single word that Dakota and Peter said, thus, resulting in her knowing everything.

I suddenly felt sick and a little hint of relief inside. The forest started to blur and I felt like falling. I knew I was about to faint. But I regained my composure. Alice put a finger to her lips, pleading for me to keep our surprise meeting a secret. Her eyes showed it all.

She already knew everything. So why am I so worried? We already knew, all of us, subconsciously, that the Cullens, possibly the Denali clan are gonna find out someday.

I gave a nod to her. She mouthed a quick 'thank you' and she was off. Something down my gut was also telling me that she knew that we knew that they were vampires.

The only question is how she figured it out. It's frankly quite easy, if you connect the dots. Which leads me to another question. How could've she connected the dots if they weren't even complete!

Peter suddenly called our attention. We hurried back to the house. Part of me wanted to tell them what happened. Another said, no, yelled... NO!!! I was torn in between. What will I do now?

Alice's POV

Oh no! She saw me! I'm gonna be in so much deep sh*t! I hope she keeps her promise. It'll be really bad if the rest of her group found out we've been spying on them.

What was her name again? Jodelle, I think it was. I think she's about 18 or something. Edwrad saw everything happen. I hope he won't tell Carlisle. Which reminds me...

"Hey Edward, please don't tell Carlisle. And yes, I know he'll certainly find out one way or another, but let ME tell him in my own time. Please?" I pleaded with him.

He imagined saying what he was going to say out loud. I saw it in a vision

"Okay fine, Alice, I won't. But you have to promise me you WILL tell him. Okay?" he told me.

"Okay, fine. Thanks for doing this."

"Well, we gotta stick together. After all, we ARE freaks among the freaks. A future-seer and a mind reader." he said playfully.

"Oh, shut up!" I retorted.

Edward saw the vision unfold in my mind. He gave a small, sharp nod.

We were now right in front of the house. I had a feeling we were forgetting something. It was dawn already, since we went hunting right after we spied on them.

Dawn. Dawn, dawn, dawn. What was the thing about it again? Ugh! Why can't I remember! I soon forgot about that little argument with myself. Everyone was still busy, figuring out how we were going to explain what we saw.

I suddenly came across five familiar scents and heard five familiar voices inside the house, talking to Carlisle and Esme. Uh oh. Crap! I completely forgot about them! What are we going to do now?

Sooooo.... Who do you think arrived inside the Cullen house? Anyone know who they are?
