The New Mutant

Chapter 5

Will, Jace, and Nicki run up the stairs to the emergency room. They see Hannah looking through the window of the room.

"How is she doing?" Asks Will.

"She's fine," Hannah says.

Will was worried. He didn't want the new mutant to die already.

"Will can I talk to you?" Asks Hannah.

Jace and Nicki look at Will concerned.

"Sure," he says.

Will walks with Hannah away from the window.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" She asks.

"I'm sorry," he says, "I just needed to get some steam out."

"Why is there so much tense between you and Mike?" She asks.

Will thinks about it. He doesn't even know. Is always been like that ever since they started to disagree a lot. Mike has been ticking him off ever since Paul died.

"I don't know," he says, "I just wanted this to make up for what happened last time, but I don't know if I will ever be able to make it up."

"Will you don't have to make it up to me," she says. "I know you care."

Hannah smiles at him and he smiles back.

"Thanks," he says grabbing her hand.

The door opens from the emergency room. Hannah and Will turn around to see Lexi and the professor walking out. Hannah and Will walk towards them.

"Are you okay?" Asks Jace to Lexi.

"Yeah I'm fine this always happens to me," she says.

"What?" Asks Will.

"I always have seizures and usually I have a weird dream with them," she says.

"Do you remember your dream?" Asks the professor.

"Kinda," she says, "There was a guy and a girl who had powers like us. They were attacking people but I couldn't exactly see who they were attacking. They had this weird thing with them. It wasn't human it was like a metal figure."

"Maybe a robot," says Hannah.

"Speaking of that I have a mission for you guys," says the professor.

They all follow the professor down the stairs into his office.

"Everyone sit down," he says.

Everyone sits and Kyle and Janet walk through the doors.

"I got your telepathy message. What's up?" Asks Kyle as him and Janet sit with the rest of them.

"I saw on the news that people in New York are being attacked by this mysterious person," he says, "I need you guys to go and check it out."

"Alright let's get on the plane," says Kyle.

"Should I go with them?" Asks Lexi.

"No you need to stay here," the professor.

"I can stay here with her," says Hannah.

"Okay the rest of you go," he says.

Hannah walks up to Will.

"Be carful out there," she says.

"I'll try," he says smiling.

She smilies back at him. Will, Janet, Kyle, Jace, and Nicki walk out of the room.

"Let's aboard the plane," says Kyle.

"Is Anne our pilot?" Asks Will.

"Nope I am," says Kyle.

"You can fly a plane?" Asks Will smiling.

"I learned a few things from Anne," says Kyle laughing.

They all aboard on the plane. Kyle goes to the front seat. Then all the sudden and flash appears on the plane. It is Mike. Will glares at him.

"What are you doing?" Asks Will.

"What do you think? I'm here to help," says Mike.

"We don't need your help," says Will.

"Will," says Jace looking at him.

Will looks at Jace then back at Mike. He walks up to Mike closer.

"Stay out of my way or else I will rip off your legs," says Will.

"You got it fire boy," says Mike shoving Will out of the way, "Let's go!"

"Alright destination New York," says Kyle as the plane goes up and heads for New York.
