The New Mutant

Chapter 24

The mansion-

Nicki and Jace run down the stairs to the main room.

"We need to find the professor," says Jace.

"I hope they are okay," says Lexi.

"I'm sure they already have them and are on their way home," says Nicki.

The professor stops them on the stairs.

"I know Will, Hannah, and Mike left," he says.

"How do you know?" Asks Nicki.

"I can read it in your minds," he says.

He folds his arms and stares at them.

"They needed to, they had to stop Kyle from going alone to Ty and Amber," says Lexi.

"I will see if I can send Anne and Frank to help them out but for now I need you three to help me with something," he says.

"What is it?" Asks Jace.

"New mutants," the professor answers.

The professor telepathy tells Anne and Frank to find them. They to the plane garage and they start to fly it.

"We need to find those kids," says Anne going to the pilots seat.

"I'll track them down," he says going to the computer.

"I hope they are okay," she says to herself.

The plane starts and lifts offs to find them.

Will, Hannah, and Mike-

"Have you guys found anything?" Asks Mike flying the plane.

"I think we got the coordinates," says Hannah.

"We need to hurry before it's too late!" Exclaims Will, "Can you go any faster?"

"The plane can only go so fast," says Mike.

Will grabs Hannah's hand.

"Do you think it's too late?" She asks starting to cry.

"No I'm sure everything is okay," Will says.

He leans in and kisses her. He releases his lips from hers and stands up to get ready.

"We are almost there!" Exclaims Mike.

The Cave-

The robot picks up Kyle from the ground. Janet falls to her knees in the cell starting to cry.

"Kyle!" She exclaims bursting into tears.

"He can't hear you," says Amber.

The robot puts him on one of the tables, Ty and Amber go to the table. Tu takes out the needle with the serum.

"Hold him steady," He says to Amber.

"Please stop!" Exclaims Janet, "Please!"

"There's nothing you can do now," says Ty.

He injects the serum into Kyle.

"We have made some modifications to the serum. You don't need someone to injury themselves with the other one to control the person. He just follows us," says Ty.

"His can't be happening," Janet says.

Amber puts her hands on he side of Kyle's head. Kyle's eyes close.

"Kyle!" Exclaims Janet.

Kyle opens his eyes, they go from brown to blue. He doesn't answer Janet as he lays there still on the table.

He wakes up and sits up from the table.

"Hello Kyle," says Ty, "You have one mission. Finish the X-men."
