I woke up early this morning because today was a very special day, Valentine's Day. I haven't had a reason to celebrate Valentine's Day for a long time before a few months ago but now I'm more then excited. I can't wait to see the look on his face when he sees what I did for him.

I quickly got dressed in a long flowing red skirt with white swirly desighes and a pink tank top to go with the festive theme. I threw my (h, l), (h, c) hair into a side ponytail then hopped down the stairs into the kitchen of my wood cottage. I lived in the middle if the woods because I have always loved the forest. I find it peaceful and calming.

I scurried around the kitchen, collecting the ingredients for the surprise.

I took out the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, vanilla, salt shaker, three eggs, and chocolate chips. I turn grabbed a bowl and wisk then started putting the ingredients together.

Once the batter was done, I took out a pan and let it heat up on the stove. Then I started to poor a little batter on the pan, watching as the doe formed into a circle. Once there were little bubbles on the top of the batter, I flipped it onto the other side and let it cook before taking it out. I did this with the rest of the batter until there was none left and the plate was staked with a tower of fluffy chocolate chip pancakes. I then took the watermelon juice I had made last night out of the fridge and served it into two cups.

I set the cups on the table then served two plates of pancakes and got out the chocolate syrup and coconut shavings. I squirted some chocolate syrup on both pancake filled plates then sprinkled the coconut shavings on top.

Just as I was taking the plates to the table, Jacob walked in and playfully stuck his nose up in the air. "I smell something good," he said excitedly.

"Really," I asked, playing dumb as I set the plates on the table. "I wonder that ever you could be smelling."

Jacob playfully stuck his nose in the air and sniffed his way to the counter where I had just set a plate of pancakes.

"You dare to hide pancakes from me? This is a terrible crime and deserves punishment," Jake said as he wrapped his arms around my waist and buried his face in the crook of my neck.

"Latter Jake. Now we have Valentine's Day pancakes," I replied and wiggled out of his arms then putting the plates on the table. Jacob grinned from ear to ear and quickly took a seat at the table, staring up at me with anticipation, waiting for me to sit down as well. I giggled before taking off my apron and joining him at the table.

As soon as I sat down, Jake shooved a big forkful of pancakes into his mouth, followed by five more. Before I could even finish my first pancake, Jacob had already eaten eight, and he was still eating! I'm so glad I made several dozen.

I laughed as I served a second pancake.
"Whath sho funny," Jake asked with a mouth full of pancakes and cherries.

"I was just thinking that if you weren't a wolf, you would be severely over weight," I replied then pointed my fork at him accusingly. "And how many times have I told you not to talk with your mouth full."

"Sorry, (y, n)," Jacob apologized after swallowing then grinned widely. "But this is delicious."

"Why thank you," I replied as I got up from the table and bowed playfully. Jake chuckled then got up as well and took my hand in his before kissing my knuckles.

"With pleasure, milady," he said with a wink. I laughed before going back to the table and collecting the plates.

"What do you think you're doing," Jake asked as he crossed his arms.

"Washing the dishes," I replied, confused.

"OH no you don't. I'm doing the dishes, you cooked already," he stated then took the plates from my hands.

"But-," I couldn't even finish before he cute off.
"No buts. I'm doing the dishes, you go relax on the couch and I'll be there in a bit."
So I went to sit in the living room as Jake finished the dishes.

I turned on the TV to see that Ghost Rider was playing. Yay! I love this movie.

"Ghost Rider, cool," Jake said from behind me, causing me to jump since I was so into the movie.
Jake laughed as I glared at him.

"Haha sorry babe," he said as he sat down beside and wrapped his arm around me. I snuggled into him, not being able to stay mad at him for long.

We snuggled threw out the rest of the movie, enjoying eachother's embrace. After the movie was done, we just sat there, the TV playing random chick flick, but neither of us seemed to care. I guess good pancakes can do this to people.
