«APRIL'S P.O.V»
CHAPTER SIX"I have a double chocolate chip frappucino for... Nova." The employee called out.
I walked up to the counter and smiled, taking the plastic cup from the worker."Thank you, have a nice day."
"You too!" She smiled back and continued to work.
Sipping on my drink, I walked to an empty booth. I hadn't been to Starbucks in forever.
I've only gone once in my whole life so when I saw the café across the street from my hotel suite window this morning, I thought, why not start the day with a delicious drink? After meeting the Maefields, I had ran away from their estate and made sure to not glance back once until I was a couple blocks down. Then, I'd ridden a bus to the The Marriott hotel and fell asleep.
Anyways, I created a gameplan...sort of. I want to know why they left me because, call me idiotic, there will always be a small place in my heart reserved just for my biological family wether I like it or not.
So why don't you just go and talk to them? My conscience smartly wondered. I was about to start an argument with myself when I saw something I did not want to see. My sister and a stunning blonde sashayed into the café.
Holy shit. I wanted to meet her again but not this soon! Why the hell is Miami so small?
I gasped loudly, causing a couple to look at me oddly as I ducked under the booth I was sitting in. I looked to my left and saw the couple still staring at me."What?" I snapped and they looked at each other with a 'this person is crazy' expression, "Stop looking at me, I'm just a normal FBI agent on a quest to find a very dangerous criminal. Adios."
I shot up and sprinted to the bathroom across the café, ignoring the flabbergasted looks from bystanders. As I pushed the ladies bathroom door open I heard someone say that, "Miami is full of crazy people." I sighed dramatically and sat on the bathroom sink counter, my head spinning. My heart was beating so fast and a light layer of sweat coated my forehead courtesy of the anxiety coursing through my veins.
I breathed in and out deeply for about a minute and was about to hop off the counter when I heard a familiar, muffled voice coming from out of the bathroom,"...I know...Vi..."
My eyes widened and my heart once again started to beat erratically. I jumped off the countertop and sprinted across the bathroom into one of the many stalls just as the bathroom entrance opened and I heard heels clacking.
Ew. It stinks in here!
I brought my shirt up to my nose in hopes of making the pungent odor decease just as I heard a voice exclaim angrily, "I cannot believe you left Sam and I at the party, you're so lucky Nick got his driver to take me home!"
I peaked through the bathroom door and saw my sister applying lip gloss on her pouty lips. She wore a casual navy dress. Her silky brown hair was curled and a smirk was pasted on her lips as she closed her gloss.
Next to her was a gorgeous blonde sipping on her mocha. Her sea blue eyes were studying my sister. She was dressed in a fashionable blue halter top that showed off her toned stomach and joggers. It seemed as if they decided to match today and, unlike I, they looked flawless.
