It all began to click into place. So that's where Harry went that night. The night where I felt that I had gotten to see Harry for who he truely was. It explained why he was so off with me the next morning when he came home, smelling of alcohol and his eyes heavy due to the lack of sleep that night, guilty conscience no doubt. It explained why I hadn't heard from him for almost 2 weeks now, I guarentee that he knows that I know and he's trying to keep his distance. Smart boy.
I've spent the past 3 days in bed, in my dark room, alone. I had finished my final year of sixth form a few weeks ago but I was spending my last summer at home. My friends had tried to contact me but I didn't want to talk to anyone. I was humilated and embarrassed that I thought that Harry would be different for me, why did I think I was so damn special? I should've seen it from the first date that we went on, when he couldn't take his eyes off the waitress. He wasn't interested in me, he only liked me because of my gender. Harry is your typical 'lad', his type is girl and if you try to put up a fight against him, he'll just try harder because he loves to chase girls.
My phone flashed from my bedside cabinet, my eyes widened as I dreaded to think who was texting me.
1 NEW MESSAGE
Rhian
I breathed out a sigh of relief as I opened the text.
"Hey babe, we're going out tonight. All us girls and we're not taking no for an answer! It's about time we saw you again. Pick you up at 8, see you later xxxxx"
I simply typed back the word 'Okay' and put my phone back on the side. It wasn't worth trying to argue with Rhian, anyway she was right. Maybe a night out is what I need to forget Harry.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I was sat beside Rhian and Sophie with Chloe and Amelia sitting opposite us. I had spent hours getting ready, pulling on my tightest LBD and wearing my highest heels. I was glad that I decided to go out with them because I truely had missed spending time with them. The topic of 'Harry' was banned for the night.
'So got your eye on anyone at the bar?' Amelia giggled, turning towards me.
I looked up as a group of attractive guys entered and took there place at the bar.
'I wouldn't say no to any of them' Eyeing them up and down, taking a sip from my wine glass. Sophie, being the most confident of us all, decided to take it upon herself to chat up the boys at the bar. She slipped out of her seat and sauntered over to them.
'Oh god what is she doing?' I said, slapping my forehead with my hand.
'She's had so much to drink already' Rhian laughed, 'I don't think she knows what she's doing herself'.
After 5 minutes, Sophie walked back to our table, followed by the 4 guys.
One of the guys slipped into the avaliable seat next to me as Sophie was now otherwise occupied by a very tanned man.
'Hi, you alright? I'm Ryan' Ryan smiled at me, flashing his white teeth, offering his hand out for me to shake.
'Hey, I'm Lou' I replied, acting a bit shy at his touch.
'Can I just say that you look stunning tonight Lou' Ryan complimented.
Ryan was a football player. You could definitely tell from his muscular arms which was shown off by his shirt. We were chatting for a while, laughing and getting to know each other, when my phone flashed up with a call from an unknown number.
'One sec' I said to Ryan 'Let me see who this is'
'Hello, hold on one second' I said to the unknown person on the phone.
I made my way out of the bar, towards the back enterance and into the dark alley.
'Hello, who is this?' I spoke into the phone.
'Lou, is that you? A guy's voice sounded from the other end of the line, a slight panic in his voice was clear.
'Yeah it is, who wants to know?' I replied, slightly aggreviated that I had been dragged away from Ryan when we were getting on so well.
'Hi, it's Louis Tomlinson- I'm one of Harry Styles' friends and band mates-'
I cut him off, 'Look Louis, I don't mean to be rude but if you've phoned me on Harry's behalf then you've wasted your time'. I went to hang up the phone when Louis suddenly sounded really desperate.
'NO,NO,NO, Lou, let me explain! I wanted to know if you'd seen him? Louis frantically tried to explain.
'No, I'm sorry Louis but I haven't seen him in weeks, is that all you wanted?'
'Its just no one has seen him in days and his not at his flat and I was a bit worried and I found your messages on his twitter and I remembered how much he used to talk about you to me and the boys so I wondered if he was with you that's all, I'm really worried Lou. If you seem him will you let me know?' Louis was tripping up on his words, he was clearly concerned about his friend.
'Okay, I will. Goodbye Louis' I hung up the phone and stood out there for a while. Where could Harry be? He was probably somewhere with some girl no doubt. As much as I tried not to care, I couldn't help but feel worried that Harry hadn't been home.
