After hours of tossing and turning in bed and the multiple of different ideas of how to fix this situation whirled around my head, I decided that I needed to get up and go to Harry's. I pulled my jeans and a tshirt on, before quickly shoving my hair up into a messy bun and swept a bit of makeup across my face before heading for the door. Harry's house was a good 20 minute walk away from mine so I put my earphones in and went over and over the plan in my head of what I was going to say to him.
The flat came into view quicker than I would've liked. I took my earphones out and placed my iPod into my back pockets of my jeans. It was still early, around eleven o'clock, and it was likely that Harry was still asleep but I had gathered the courage to come here and there was no point in turning back now.
I approached the door of his flat, taking one last deep breath before knocking lightly on the door. I heard the sound of a groan coming from inside, causing me to laugh slightly at how my prediction of Harry still being asleep had been correct. The sound of plodding feet could be heard coming closer and closer towards the door until the door swang open.
His facial expression changed as if he was shocked to see me standing on the doorstep,
'Lou, what are you doing here'.
His voice was still thick from sleep, he ran his hands through his messy curls off of his eyes which were squinting due to the morning sunlight shining into his eyes.
'We need to talk Harry' I shifted on the spot, looking at the ground. I raised my head to look at him, 'Can I come in?'
Harry nodded and opened the door wider to let me through.
Harry handed me the mug of coffee before sitting on the sofa opposite me.
'Thanks' I said before taking a sip, Harry looked at me expectantly, waiting for me to say the first thing.
'I think we need to talk about what happened with you and...'I hesistated, not really liking the sound of my own words.'With you and Rhi'.
'I know I can't justify what I did, it was completely wrong, I don't know what happened that night. I was just really fired up after you saying that she told me to stay away from you. She's not giving me a chance like you are, I've changed Lou' Harry trailed off, looking me back in the eye. 'I have changed'.
I remained silent, not knowing what to say to him anymore. He got up off the sofa and came round to sit next to me.
'It's really funny because I remember the first time I saw you'
'Yeah I remember too' I interupted 'you slammed me up against a wall'
Harry chuckled 'No, no, no. I've really wanted to tell you this for a while actually, but I've never found the right moment. I saw you at Mungo's one night. I was performing there with my band, and I spotted you at the bar with your friends. You looked incredible.' Harry smiled at the memory.
'Then why didn't you talk to me?' I persisted, although I was already flattered from what he was telling me.
'Oh I tried, trust me I did. But I was hurried out by the rest of the band and our friends, we were due to hit another club so I couldn't. And trust me I was gutted. I couldn't believe my luck when you were at Em's party, I didn't know you two were sisters. So I had to rig the bottle so it landed on me when you were chosen'
'What?' We both laughed. I couldn't believe he had gone to this much trouble just to meet me.
Harry looked into my eyes again, the smile no longer on his face.
'And I'm not preperared to throw that all away because of a mistake. Please forigve me Lou' He took hold of my hands, his eyes filled with desperation.
'Okay' I whispered.
Harry leaned forward, cupping my chin in one of his large hands before slowly pressing his lips against mine. This was different to any kiss he'd ever given me before. It was slow and tender and it meant a lot to both of us.
Even if I hadn't realised it yet, he meant a lot to me.
