George, Paul and Richard all separated as they left johns house. Richard went straight back to his, only to be yelled at by Maureen. Paul also went back to his where Jane was waiting for him silently on the sofa.
George however, didn't go straight home. He didn't want to go and see Pattie straight away. So instead, he put his hands in his pockets and walked down to the nearest pub. He knew he should go home but as he drew closer to the pub, he thought he might as well have a drink or two.
As he walked into the pub, he quickly ordered a beer and sat at the table that was tucked away by many booths and walls.
Here, it gave him time too think about some songs for the album. Maybe I could play my sitar again he thought to himself ; taking a swig of his beer. He continued thinking and drinking until a girl with long black hair sat next to him.
"I'm sorry for just sitting here" she said quickly whilst ducking her head. "But you see that man over there? He won't leave me alone and I just kind of need somewhere to hide" her long index finger pointed towards a tall, gruff man who's face held an angered expression.
George looked at her puzzled before taking another drink of his beer.
"It's quite alright. I'm George." He extended his hand out and the girl gladly took it.
"I'm Michelle." George smiled at her name. It reminded him of the song Paul wrote for rubber soul.
George studied Michelle carefully. She was pale and her hair was obviously dyed black. Her eyes were a bright green and her lips painted a deep plum. She was rather skinny and her clothes clung to her body.
"So Michelle why are you hiding?" George asked looking at her. Michelle bit her lip before turning to George.
"I owe him some money because I borrowed some for some dope but right now I don't have that money to give back to him so he's chasing me. He says I'll have to pay him another way"
George wrinkled his nose in disgust. He didn't want some drug whore sat next to him, but he also didn't want her body to be taken advantage of. George looked at Michelle and then at the man that was fumbling about the pub.
"Stay close to me. I know a way out and
I'll take you as far away as I can"Michelle stood up, as did George, and followed him out through the back entrance of the pub. They then began walking through alley ways and narrow walkways until they ended up at a hotel. George rummaged through his pocket for some money and handed it to Michelle.
"here's enough money to spend a night here because no doubt, he'll go to your place" he watched as she bit her painted lip and looked around.
"Stay with me for a couple hours. Get too know me." It was a kind gesture that George should've declined, but he didn't. He went against his mind and his wedding ring and followed Michelle into the hotel.
...
The pair had spent many hours talking and getting to know one another. George began to not feel so uptight and soon began to feel free. He told her about the band and how they're stumped on new ideas for a new album. Michelle had told George that she hadn't worked a single day since she became of age. She told him how she didn't like rules and who the world revolved around them.
This made George happy. Someone who actually felt the same way about the world. It was as if she was a free spirit, and angel sent down from heaven to create world peace.
George smiled to himself but quickly stopped as he looked at the time. It was way past midnight and Pattie would be creating a storm back at his place. George stood up, stretched and headed towards the door.
"It was lovely meeting you Michelle." Michelle nodded and looked down.
"Maybe we could meet up again sometime yeah?" She asked timidly. George smiled wide.
"That'll be great Michelle. I'll like that" both of them sat there in silence;not wanting to leave each others presence.
It was funny really, how they'd only just met, yet they were drawn to each other. It was as if a sparked had been ignited and was now souring through each of them. Their eyes met one another's and both of them blushed. George knew this was wrong;he was a married man but he couldn't help but feel free with a women he'd only just met.
"I uh best be on my way. I'll see you again sometime Michelle" Michelle nodded and George exited out of her hotel room and down the hall towards the large glass doors, before walking home.
