When I wake up, the sun is beating Down on me, and my arms are being occupied with holding the girl I love, tightly to me.
Today is the training day. Today we will test our skills, before we fight to the death on live television.
I have to keep her alive. I have to.
If she died, I don't know what I would do, she already means so much to me, she's so beautiful, without even trying, she's so effortlessly amazing. (Joshiferrrr😭)
I feel her stirring besides me, and a small whimper escapes her pink lips. More whimpers start to fill the room, and I realize she's having a nightmare.
"Sierra," I say softly, shaking her shoulder lightly.
"Sierra, wake up, it's just a dream, it's not real, I promise." I coaxes her.
She finally stops her whimpering, and wakes up with a jerk.
Out of no where, she bursts out into tears, and I hold onto her more tightly, shushing her and whispering reassuring words into her ear as I rock her back and forth, back and forth.
Eventually, her crying stops, and she lets a few more sniffles escape through her nose.
"You okay?" I ask, rubbing her back.
She nods as a reply, and smiles sadly at me, before hopping out of my embrace, and heading off the balcony without another word.
"Today is going to be a long day" I think to myself as I follow her back downstairs.
