I slowly pulled my car into a complete stop after looking for a parking spot for the past 10 minutes. I picked up my purse in the passenger seat and got out of my car, straightening out my skirt in the process. I walked into the lobby of the skyscraper and made my way to the elevator to reach the 18th floor. As the elevator door closed, I couldn't help but feel a huge knot tie up in my stomach. I usually don't get nervous for a lot of stuff but I wanted to make a good first impression.

The elevator doors opened revealing the lobby of the agency. I took a deep breath and pushed my hair back to finally step out of the elevator. I walked into a big modern reception area decorated with gray and black walls and an orange accent wall. The room had several TV's showcasing the agencies work and bright orange furniture to compliment the space. In the middle of it all was a long black desk with flower pots on either side of it and a Caucasian lady with dirty blonde hair sitting behind it.

"Hi! Welcome to Ford Models, may I help you?" She asked.

"Um hi, my name is Brooklyn Wolf. Today is my first day working for Ford Models."

"I though that names sounded familiar. Let me notify Mr. Ford you're here." She said picking up a phone.

"Thank you."

Kate waited for Mr. Ford to pick up as the phone rang several times.

"Mr. Ford? Brooklyn Wolf is here."

She paused and looked up at me.

"Okay, I'll send her down. Buh-bye." She hung up the phone and scribbled something on a post-it note and handed it to me.
"Here's Mr. Fords room number, if you follow the signs you'll be fine."

"Thank you." I said taking it.

"Oh, and by the way. My name is Kate, it's nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too, Kate." I smiled and walked off following the signs, just as Kate said, to Mr. Ford's office.

Meeting Mr. Ford for the second time cooled my nerves. He directed me to my workspace and gave me quick instructions of what the agenda was for the day.

When I finally settled and got a hang of what I was doing, the day started going by quickly and lunch time came around. Kate peered around the corner and placed her bag on my desk.

"Hey, Brooklyn." She smiled.

"Hi, Kate." I said looking up from my work.

"How's work going?"

"It's busy, but it's good."

"That's good to hear. Well I was wondering if you wanted to join me and some friends for lunch?"

"That sounds great, actually. Thanks for the invitation."

"No problem. We'll be waiting for you in the lobby, come down when you're ready."

"Sounds good."

As Kate walked away I started to clean up my desk, putting away everything in its rightful place. I closed up my tabs on the computer and grabbed my purse from under my desk. I left my space  and headed to the lobby to meet up with Kate and a few of her friends.
