Just By Chance (A Diggy Simmons Love Story)
Chapter 7

BrooklynI quickly looked away and tried to pretend like I didn't see Diggy. I could tell by his eager body language that he wanted to talk about what happened earlier today.
"Bria, Brooklyn, this is Dillyn, Will, EJ, and Diggy." Lucas said introducing us.
Bria and I waved at the boys, trying my best not to make eye contact with Diggy.
"Y'all want anything to drink?" Lucas asked us.
"Can I get a margarita, on the rocks?" Bria flirtatiously said.
"I'll have a martini, straight up." I smiled.
"Ight, I'll be back."
Lucas walked away leaving us with his friends. Bria and I awkwardly stared at each other as we felt uncomfortable being the only girls here.
"Y'all can sit, don't have to act shy." Will said taking a sip of his drink.
There were only two seats left in the section, and they weren't near each other. Bria got the one closest to us and I tried to squeeze in next to her but it didn't work out.
"Why don't you come sit here, ma?" Dillyn said while putting his arm around the empty seat.
I quickly walked over there, feeling Diggy starting at me in the process. I sat down next to Dillyn and mouthed
"I hate you" to Bria.Lucas soon came back with our drinks, handing me mine first then walking over to Bria to give her her drink. He leaned down and whispered in her ear and she giggled to herself. He soon took her hand and they left, leaving me alone with the boys.
"What's up with you? You good?" Dillyn asked putting his arms around my waist.
"Yeah, just a little tired that's all." I lied.
"Well you look beautiful tonight." He said looking me up and down.
"Thanks." I said with a fake smile.
As I continued to sit there, the boys were engrossed in their own conversation as I zoned out on my phone. After a while I noticed Dillyn's hand was on my waist and slowly making its way lower and lower.
I quickly moved away, giving him a grim look.
"Excuse me." I angrily said.
"What?" He chuckled. "You can't be showing up to a club looking all good like that and not expect a nigga to try nothin'."
"Well as a lady, I thought I would be shown a little more respect, thank you very much."
"Is there a problem?"
A shadow casted over Dillyn and I. I looked up to see Diggy with his fists clenched.
"Nah bro." Dillyn lied.
I scoffed at Dillyn as Diggy held out his hand to help me up. I took up the offer, and he started to lead me to an outside patio area where it was a little more quiet.
"Thank you." I said, trying not to look at Diggy.
"No problem."
There was an awkward silence between us, until I broke the tension.
"Listen, I'm really sorry about earlier today. Honestly, I truly feel bad about it. I didn't mean to dub you like that. I just got really scared and I guess my emotions came over me and I backed away."
"I'm sorry too, for moving to fast and making you feel uncomfortable." He said looking at me with eyes of concern.
"It's okay, but thank you again for such an awesome date." I smiled.
"It was my pleasure."
We looked over the balcony, deep into our own thoughts. Then I started thinking to myself, "What if I just kiss him?"
I looked over at him and he soon looked backed at me.
"You good?" He chuckled.
"Yeahh." I blushed.
He licked his bottom lip, which exposed his dimples. He looked down at my lips, not taking his eyes off of them.
Diggy
I leaned in, contemplating whether or not I should try and kiss her again. She didn't seem to be as scared as she was before. I leaned in, putting my hand on her lower back, gently pulling her closer to me. She slowly closed her eyes, so the kiss would come as a surprised.
I gently placed my lips on hers, noticing goose bumps appear all over her body. I pulled back and then placed another kiss, then another, then another. What started out as an innocent peck tuned into a French kiss. Before things went any further, I slowly started to pull back, laying gentle kisses on her before I fully stopped.
I looked at her, noticing her looking down to try and hide her blush and her smile. I gently touched her chin to lift her head up.
"You don't have to hide anymore, baby girl."
