Chapter 12 .
August pov
3 days later.
Ma funerals is tomorrow and I was told that I have to give a speech at her burial sight. I'm not going to write shit don't and fucking study it. Ima speck from the heart. But today is the day I finally meet Jadah 'wonderful' parents.
I shower and get dress and head on over there. Let's just see how this works 🙂
Me: I'm here, come out.
WCE. 💍🔐❤️: Okayyy ! 😋
I saw her skipping to the door through the glass part in their door. I chuckle as She unlocks the door and opening it jumping on me kissing me instantly. She draws back.
"Well, hello to you too then." I smiled holding her by her waist.
She giggled hoping down and walking me inside. She closes the door behind us as I walk around looking at the place.
Her house was amazing, everything was shining and some shit was made out of gold. Must be nice 🙂
"Mom , dad this is August, August these are the geezers." She said.
"Nice meeting you." I politely spoke shaking their hands.
"Must be." Her mother said sitting down.
"Please tell me August, what exactly do you do?" Her dad asked.
"Well, I use to take care of mother before she pass, now I'm looking for a job." I reply.
"Sorry to here that son." He sigh. "Those Tattoos look like it hurt." He spoke.
"Only the one on my chest." I fake chuckle.
"How did you get the money to get them if you don't have a job?" Her mom asked.
I shot a look at Jadah.
"Can y'all chill out on the tough questions please, thank you." Jadah said.
"It's cool baby, and tell me Mrs. Bird , how do you think I got the money?" I asked smiling.
"I don't know, probably selling drugs, got the money from your mother.." she shrugged.
I chuckle.
"That's the reason I don't let y'all meet my boyfriends." Jadah said.
"Look , baby we just don't want you to get into a bad relationship with another broke , no life man." Her daddy sigh.
I chuckle. There is no need to argue. They'll like me one day.
"Apologize to him right now." Jadah demanded.
"Apologizing for telling the truth?" Her mother scoffed.
"I get it.. Y'all are the type of parents to think that no man is ever going to be right for your little baby girl. Well sorry to put it this way but she's going to find that one special person she connect with. She thought it was Malcolm but it wasn't. I'm nothing like him and you're judging me because of my tattoos.. But no disrespect i see a couple of tattoos on y'all's body as well, and I'm never broke. I'm actually a good person. I go to church every Sunday. I pay bills and if you like it or not, I'm gon' take care of Jadah regardless, so y'all might as well start liking me because I'm not going anywhere." I said. I look over at Jadah and she just staring at me smiling.
"Well then.. Welcome to the family Mr. August Alsina." Her father said standing up to shake my hand.
I stand up shaking his hand. "Don't hurt her August." He mumble. "Never." I smirked.
"But we would like to support you during your lost so when and where is the funeral?" He ask sitting down.
"That's very nice of you sir, the funeral is tomorrow at 2:00 at Zion." I spoke
"We'll be there hunny." Her mother smiled.
"Thank y'all." I said cracking a smile. But Travis texted me.
Travis💉💸🔌: Nigga we have to go to the funeral planning right now.
Me: I'm on my way now nigxa.
"Excuse me, but it was very nice meeting you guys but I have to go to the funeral planning to make sure everything it right." I said standing up.
"Nice meeting you too son." He spoke.
Jadah walked me to the front door.
"I know you peeped him calling me son." I mumbled chuckling.
"Yeah. when you put him in his place. I love you so much." She spoke hugging me.
"I love you too baby girl." I said pecking her lips then jogging to the car.
"Text me later." She shouts
Without looking back I put a thumps-up in the air and open the car door pulling off.

"Y'all okay?" Mr. Reynolds asked us. He's the funeral planner.
"I been making it." I mumbled. Travis nods.
"So , August. Your singing and giving the speech at the burial sight right?" He asked.
"Yes sir."
"Well , you have your speech prepared?" He asked.
"Nah, see, Ima speck from the heart." I said.
"Okay, that's fine. But y'all too will enter last remember that, and then will continue the home going service for your mother." He said
"We knew that." Travis spoke
"how long y'all want the service to be?" He asked.
"No more then 1 hour and a half." Travis said.
"Alright. I'll let the pastor know, and be ready by 12, that when the limos are coming to get yall." He said.
"Alright." I spoke.
"Well, I guess that's all, and once again I'm so sorry for your lost." He said.
"Thank you." Travis spoke.
