Chapter 6

When Michael invited Ashton and Calum to come to the aquarium with Him and Luke, he thought he just meant him and Luke, not him, Luke, and Kat.

Ashton thought Kat was a really nice girl, but he thought that it was just going to be the four of them, hanging out and helping Michael's uncle at the aquarium.

Ashton glared at the two blondes ahead of him, holding hands as they walked, while they giggled (yes, Luke was giggling too) and swung their hands and talked and ugh Ashton felt so left out with Calum and Michael having their own conversation and Ashton was walking by himself with no one to talk to.

He looked over at the ocean, as they were walking near it and oh man I could really do with a good dip right now.

Hey, at least I can talk to the animals; they'll probably hold a better conversation than peanut butter and Mr. Authors big butt.

Maybe I can just sit by the dolphins, the dolphins always love my charm.

OH, maybe I can-

Ashton gasped as he bumped into someone and fell back, landing on his bum on the concrete.

Calum quickly turned around, kneeling down in front of Ashton. "Oh, sorry man, I didn't think you'd bump into me." He chuckled, helping his brother-from-another-mother up. Ashton smiled a little, shaking his head. "It's okay, I should have been paying attention, I got lost in my thoughts." He chuckled, brushing himself off.

"That's never good." Calum said with a cheeky grin and Ashton rolled his eyes, shoving Calum before following the other three into the aquarium after he realized that's why Calum stopped.

"First we're gonna go find Jamie, my uncle first and then we can like, walk around if you want." Michael said and everyone nodded and followed the red-black-haired boy as he went off to find his uncle.

Ashton smiled and waved at all the fish in the tanks and behind the glass as they walked past them, muttering small 'hey's and 'hello's. Calum nudged him and Ashton frowned, looking up at him. "What?" He grumbled.

"Now is not the time to be friendly with all of your fish friends, we're in public Ash." Calum whispered and the merman huffed, crossing his arms. "Whatever, now they're going to think I'm mean for ignoring them and it's all your fault. I'm sorry that I have a close connection with the sea life." he sighed, shaking his head. "Are all mer-people like that?" Calum asked. Ashton shrugged. "I dunno, I've never met another one of my kind have I dummy?"

"I just thought you would've done some research or something." Calum huffed. "Well, I have. Some websites said that mer-people can talk to animals and some find it harder to do so...but I don't really usually believe everything I see on the web, unlike some people."

Calum just laughed softly and rolled his eyes at his brothers childish like ways and walked ahead of Ashton to catch up with everyone else.

They walked to an outside area, which Ashton guessed was where the dolphin's are because one; he could sense their presence and two; well...some guy was feeding a dolphin in the distance.

Ashton grinned as he looked over at the beautiful mammal as she jumped out from the water and dived back in.

"Ash, you coming mate?" He looked over to see Michael standing their, the other guys –and girl- ahead, walking towards who must've been Jamie. Ashton blinked, shaking his head. "Oh, yeah...right. Yeah." He chuckled, jogging over to Michael and then walking with him after he caught up.
