Halloween Prank

Chapter 1

Parkway Central High, one of only a few schools in the world who allows the graduating seniors to perform a Halloween prank of their choice; school appropriate that is. This has been allowed for years past, created by the students, and continued on for further graduates. This year, the senior class of '84 leaves it up to student council to decide what their Halloween prank would be.

"We should graffiti the side of the school in a blood-type font saying 'C/O 1984 Seniors Haunts Freshman!' It'll be fun," future prom queen Kayla Grace mentions to her friends.

"Again? That's what the seniors last year did. Let's do something different. Ooh! A water gun fight against everyone. Dude that would be awesome! I know of a few people I'd run into first," football star August Mahoney insists.

"Dude, really? Water gun fights? Do you not know how cold it's getting. That would freeze people's asses off. I agree with Kayla, we should graffiti the school," break dance crew leader Jeremiah Reefs says rudely. Jeremiah smiles at Kayla as August whispers under his breath about him.

The four friends stop talking for a while until Jeremiah speaks up asking his best friend Jessica what she thinks.

"I...honestly don't think we should do a prank at all. I mean it is violating the school to paint on it and it is getting too cold to have a water gun fight, that idea isn't even an option. So a prank is basically something to get us in trouble," she replies.

Kayla and August get upset and August begins to step forward to Jessica. He walks closer to her, fist balled with an angry mood, threatening not to insult his ideas again, Jessica tearing up slightly. Jeremiah walks in between the two and steps up to August, confronting him, one hand balled into a fist while the other pushes August back.

"Chill out man, you're going to hit a female for giving her opinion on something? I should hit you to knock some sense into you. Don't treat her like that. You got her messed up Yo."

August backs up and leaves to class as the bell rings afterwards.

"Well, that was fun. I better get to class, can't get a detention anymore. That'll ruin my chance of being prom queen. So, later you guys. We'll figure out something later on," Kayla replied, walking away.

Jeremiah and Jessica started to walk away to class, yet Jessica stopped, "Kayla," she calls. Kayla stops walking and turns around.

Jessica hesitates before she speaks but finally says, "What if we get half of the seniors to prank the other half, along with the rest of the school? Would that work?"

"Yea, sure. Whatever," Kayla says as she walks away. Jeremiah looks at Jessica and smiles and they walk to class together.
