Chapter 14: Don't Close Your Eyes

I left Dezrei with Morgan's grandmother, you know, the one who said I'm next to get married.

It's time to face Beatriz. I mean, she can't kill all of us at once. That'll be impossible. Especially me, it's hard to kill me. If you send me to the Electric chair, id probably just feel tickled. Just like cherry. Send her to the chair, and she'll laugh the whole time.

It was like that one scene in The Avengers. We all made a circle, facing every direction:

Travis Audrey
Me Cherry
Marissa

That's the best way I could describe it. We were in the breezeway, which was the first thing you see when you enter the school.

She finally appeared. Through the left hallway doors, she was there. Still, in a circle, we slowly backed away in sync. It's kinda funny when you come to think of it.

"You can take the mask off!" Audrey said. "We know it's you, Beatriz!"

Beatriz took the mask off and picked up an ax that was in the hallway.

"Why are you doing this? I mean, doesn't killing people get boring?" Cherry tried to make things better.

"Not Really." Beatriz answered back.

"So, it does get boring?" I think cherry is serious about this convo.

"Yes..." Beatriz said.

"Well it's because you said 'not really' so that means it does get boring but now you--"

"Okay! Cherry I get it!" Beatriz was getting annoyed by cherry's constant question asking.

"You're not gonna kill us!" Morgan yelled out.

"What makes you think that?" Beatriz threatened.

"We're gonna fool you."

We all split up in many directions, and obviously it confused her. Her goal today was to obviously get all of us. I ran as fast as I could. She wasn't chasing after me. I could see from far away, she was chasing after Audrey. Audrey better survive this. Travis and I ran together, and we hid in the boys restroom. That's the place you'd least expect to hide when it comes to Beatriz.

"Are you ok?" He asked.

"Yeah. But I hope I leave alive today."

"Don't worry. You'll be ok. You're Jen Nakpil."

"But I'm worried for you."

"Jen, I'll be fine. I just gotta figure out how to outsmart her."

"Travis..."

"We can't hide here forever," he said. "We gotta at least help the others."

"You're right."

We quickly ran out and saw Beatriz going the opposite direction as us. She was chasing Morgan, but I couldn't find Audrey. Then I saw Audrey running. Thank God, she's Alive.
