she stood at the bus stop, huffing out a sigh. she reached up and pulled her hat

over her ears. she crouched down to tie the laces on her boots, then stood up again. what was taking the bus so long?

thump, thump, thump.

the noises of shoes came towards her and then stopped. she didn't think much of it, just someone else waiting for the bus, that's all.

her eyes shifted down to the feet beside hers. they were well-worn. they looked like the owner had had them for a while. they looked like his.

she slowly took in every inch of the person from the bottom, all the way to his face. wait.

she looked harder. she leaned forward from her curtain of hair. her stomach clenched. her fists tightened around her bag. memories flooded her mind, both good and bad. she tried to swallow the lump that had grown in her throat. It was him.

his soft eyes casually gazed around, taking in his surroundings. his hand reached up and  moved a piece of blonde hair out of his face.

he then looked at the girl beside him. he couldn't believe it.

it

was

her.

her, the female who once meant so much to him and still did. he was foolish for leaving the one who made him feel the way she did.

their eyes met. they both froze. what were they supposed to do?

ross licked his dry lips. he missed her lips.

"hi," he said. it was barely even a whisper.

she sucked in a breath before replying, "hi."
