a/n IMPORTANT: this is a flashback chapter, so no one get confused! I was going to put it in italics but that kinda hurts my brain, does it hurt yours? Idk maybe it's just me. So anyways!! I'll write this just like a normal chapter. So... Yeah. This is what caused their breakup, enjoy! OH AND ALSO THIS IS IMPORTANT TOO SO LISTEN UP KIDDOS: I was going to give the girl in this story a name, but I thought it would be more fun and poetic I guess if I didn't give her a name. So call her whatever the heck you want.

the couple had moved into a house together, but she still had to pack up the rest of her things and finalize her moving out.

ross came home late again. he always did this when he went out with his friends. lately, he was spending more time with his buddies than her and she was sick and tired of it.

the door shut and in stumbled ross, waking her up from her slumber on the couch. her head snapped up and she got up from her previous spot on the couch as he walked towards her. he seemed sober, which surprised her since he had just came home from a club.

"why aren't you in bed, baby?" ross said softly, rubbing her arm slightly with his fingertips. she slapped his hand away and stepped back.

"i was waiting for you."

"you didn't have--" he stepped towards her.

"i saw you, ross. with her. as if it isn't bad enough that you're ditching me for your friends, you go out and cheat on me? with some stranger? unbelievable." ross's eyes went wide and his face went pale as she spat angry words at him.

"how?" he whispered.

"i went to the club. i thought i could, after all i am your girlfriend. i had found your friends and there you were, some random girl with her hands all over you. she freaking kissed you, too. i left before you could see me," she explained, her eyes watering. she was getting dizzy from the memory. it felt like a dream.

"no babe, please. she was drunk. i tried to get her off of me, i swear i did. and just like you said, she kissed me. it meant absolutely nothing to me," ross pleaded, his voice cracking multiple times. she almost forgave him.

"no, ross. you really messed up this time. it's over. i'm going to go pack my things." she walked upstairs into their shared room and started shoving things into her suitcase, not even caring about organization. she just wanted to get out as soon as possible. ross followed her of course, but he didn't continue his pleas. he knew it was too late for that. he just sat there and watched her pack up, tears streaming down his face.

just before she walked out the door, ross grabbed her.

"please. give me one more chance," he tried once more.

"goodbye ross."
