AN// okay so now we're back to the present soooo... I'm so incredibly sorry for this super, SUPER short chapter and not updating in so darn long. School is keeps me busy,  and I've been suffering from major writers block. I also feel that I have improved while I was gone, but you won't be able to tell from this chapter. I wrote this, and was going to finish it, but just decided to publish it anyway because I haven't in so long haha. there's another story going up called "cafes and new beginnings"'(super cliche title, I know) that should be up soon, so keep an eye up. ALSO, 800 READS!! THATS INCREDIBLE! THANK YOU 😘
"ross?"

"y-yeah?"

"i still love you."

ross's heart was beating fast. but not from anxiety and stress and nervousness this time, from joy and relief. he let a smile spread across his face, the first genuine one in quite a while.

"really?" he breathed out, life already coming back to his eyes. he couldn't believe it. it felt like a dream, and he didn't ever want to wake up.

she smiled shyly at him, her heart beating out of her chest. she felt like a schoolgirl with a crush. ross smiled back and he considered reaching for her hands. thinking it was maybe too early for that, he quickly brought them to his lap. he didn't want to rush anything. although it was killing him, he wanted to make sure she wanted this.

she looked down at her lap, her smooth, auburn hair sweeping in front of her face. she looked up at ross and let her eyes meet his. it felt like the world stopped.

she was his, and he was hers. as it always has been. as it always will be.
