Chapter 9.

Maya's POV.

Wow, she's done it this time. Walking in after her parents had been worried for were she was to find out that she'd been with Lucas, on top of that wearing his clothes, and then bringing him in the house. She's really done it this time. I looked over at cory who had a face full of anger. Topanga looked kind of mad but then at the same time she looked quite normal. Lucas was looking down at the floor, probably scared to make eye contact with Mr. Mathews and Riley stood there really making eye contact with him. Riley whispers into Lucas' ear and he goes up stairs. "Dad." She says. "Riley, get him out of my house." He says. "But dad!" She pleads. "Now Riley, when are you finally going to realise his game!?" He stands up shouting at her. That's when Lucas comes down. "Sir, you don't clearly understand this situation." He says walking over to Riley, who's tearing up, and envelopes her in a hug. "Get your hands off of my daughter Lucas!" Cory says getting. In Lucas' face. "No sir please, listen to what we have to say first." Topanga finally stands up pushing cory back. "I think he's right cory, come on." She leads them into the kitchen and Riley's and Lucas' hands are joined tightly together.

I look over at Josh who his next to me and he just smiles reassuringly at me. "I don't think is going to go well Josh." He grips my hand tightly underneath the table and I just return the smile he's gave me back. "It'll be fine Maya." He says. "I trust Riley completely and whatever has happened that's lead to this has got to be something more than just something." He says and Shawn looks over at him and smiles. "When did you grow up so fast." He says smiling at Josh.

Riley's POV.

All of that was so unexpected, I'd never think that my parents as well as my grandparents and Josh and Shawn would be in the house all at the same time of me and Lucas walking in too. "So who wants to talk first." My father asks me and Lucas. "Sir, I'm sorry that this whole situation looks bad but there's more to it than you think and I have way more respect for your daughter than you could ever think." Lucas says taking control of the situation, how was he so good as explaining things so well. "The fact of my daughter staying at a boys house that seems to have a reputation for a few things worries me." My father says back. "Who knows what could have happened behind your closed bedroom door Lucas." He speaks again. I know the first thought that would come to my fathers mind was going to be sex, that's just the way he is and I'm sure that would be the case for any overprotective father. "Dad!" I shout looking at him sternly. Lucas just looks over at me. "No Riley I understand why your dad would jump to that conclusion, it's the exact same conclusion any father would jump to...but like I said sir, I have way to much respect for your daughter to even think of that." Lucas says, my mum looks over at him and then me and smiles before looking at my dad. He also looks at her. "Cory, can't you see, our daughter is growing up and I think Lucas is starting to as well, I think we should let this one slide. I think we should trust them, whatever they say." My mum says to him. "Okay. Lucas I'm sorry for going all protective father on you, I should know that people change people as its a lesson I've learnt and taught, I'm glad to say that whatever habits you've had before have seemed to vanish." My father says. I smile at him and my mom. "Thank you." Me and Lucas say in unison. I stand up and hug my mum and Lucas shakes my dads hand.

Lucas POV.

We walk back into the dining room and me and Riley join everyone at the table, considering me and Riley forgot about the food I made, we were both hungry. Riley sits across from Maya and I sit next to her. I can see Maya smirking at riley in the corner of my eye. Riley looks over to me and smiles, I return one and start a conversation. "You've done well decorating Topanga." I say. "Thank you Lucas." She says taking a bite of her food. The awkwardness had left after a while of talking and dinner was soon finished.

Riley looked over at me while everyone was taking. "I thought you wanted to take me somewhere?" She asks with an excited smile on her face. "I still am, the sooner you get ready the sooner we can go." I tell her as she smiles. "What do I wear?" She asks me. "Something casual but nice and bring a bikini." I tell her as she rushes off up stairs, I couldn't wait to bring her to the cove.
