Chapter 10.

Maya's POV.

I had done everything Lucas had instructed, I knew that Riley would love this. I get into the cave and place the fairy lights along the rocky parts and laid the blankets and pillows all over the floor part of it, I had placed the laptop on the blankets and chucked all of the snacks and things in the basket that we'd kept here, I also added drinks to the mini fridge and put the teddy, chocolate and roses In the corner were Lucas would know where it was.

The cave was a place we'd all come to hang out, parties, dates everything. It was like a second home to most of us here in Austin, it's easy to access from the lake and the forestry patch surrounding it, to most people it would be like a place out of a fairytale but to us all it was just the cave.

I knew that Riley would think of it as we'd all though of it at one point, the good memory of the cave had faded for me ever since josh told me that he liked me then told me that he still couldn't be with me. I don't understand Josh, one minute he's all flirty and fun and the next he's all 'age gap', boring Josh. Oh well, I'm going to put that aside and get out of here. I knew that they'd arrive soon so i wanted to get home.

Lucas' POV.

I could see the excitement all over Riley's face as she rode ace do swiftly, she really was beautiful. I couldn't help but stare at her as she would smile at everything around her, taking every little thing in. I like that in a girl, I like that in Riley. She was starting to get confident with riding ace so I once again tap ace to make her gallop. Riley started to get a hang of going fast and it had soon turned into a race.

Riley had kept riding fast and ahead of me until she finally reached the cave. She came to halt and her eyes widened as her mouth dropped. "You like it?" I ask her. "Wow." Is all she could say. I got off of firecracker and took the saddle off, I could easily trust ace and him because I know they would stay right here, the horses seemed to be as captivated here as Riley was. I walk over to her and help her off of ace, as soon as she's down she walks off and I take the saddle off ace too.

I walk over to find Riley inside the little shelter part of the cave, that we had all made over the years. My eyes widened at how well Maya had laid everything out. "Lucas it's amazing." Riley says as she runs up to me and hugs me, I pull her in tightly. "I thought you'd like it." I say. "I did have a hand though." I had to give credit to Maya for this. Riley seems to know exactly who I'm talking about as she pulls away from the hug. "Maya?" She asks. I nod my head and she smiles. "So what order?" I ask her. "What do you mean?" She asks me a question back. "Would you like to go swimming first or watch a movie first." I ask her pointing to each thing.

I then realise the teddy and everything. "Oh wait." I walk her and pick them all up, the teddy is huge. I hand them to her as she's smiles smelling the roses. "Mmm." She says. "The smells amazing and the chocolate looks drool-worthy." She says smiling at me. "And swimming first." She quickly jumps in again.

I can see how excited she is and it makes me happy. I just smile at her. "Your so cute when your excited." I say and she try's to hide her blush again. I go up to her and remove her hands from her cheeks. "Stop trying to hide your blush it's adorable." I say and she blushes even more. "Stop!" She says, running over to the wooden pontoon on the lake. She takes her dress, and the shorts she had underneath, off revealing her bikini and looks over at me. "Come on!" She shouts from where she is.

I run up to the pontoon and take my top and shoes off. I stand side by side to Riley and she takes my hand. She looks up at me with those big brown eyes, she looks nervous. "Is it cold?" She asks me looking out onto the lake. "Not really." I say pushing a piece of hair behind her ear and stroking my thumb across her cheek. We both lean in and before our lips touch I push her in. She screams as she comes up flapping her arms around in the water. "Lucas, I wouldn't jump because I can't---." She gets interrupted by her head going underneath. I dive in and reach her body as I lift her bridal style and take her out of the water. We stand on the pontoon and I pat her back as she coughs.

"Your a dick." She says as I feel my self falling straight into the water, I get back up and look at her laughing at herself. At this moment the sun is shining perfectly on her, highlighting all of her beautiful features and making her laugh and smile look even better.

If you'd asked me if I believed in love before Riley got here I would simply say no, because i believed it didn't exist, but...If you asked me now if simply enough say yes, because Riley has showed me it exists.

Of course I loved Riley Mathews, I had ever since I saw her for the first time. I can remember standing there thinking why was I getting so angry at this person for holding her up against those lockers, I now know that it was because every single part of my body was telling me that I'd benefit from having her mean something to me, from jumping in to save her.

I've updated sooner because I'm going to be really busy with revising for my tests that predict my grades, yay! Not. But anyway thank you for reading and everything else, feel free to Comment and give me your opinions, also thank you for voting and stuff.
