New Place

It has been a week since we left the house, and we are at a safe house for supernatural people on the run. The place is covered by a cloaking spell and filled with supernatural creatures. I don't really go out of my room much, or should I say mine and Chris's room.

I have been sad since I left my family and Alex behind. Chris hasn't been much help, he keeps leaving and making excuses to get away from me. I hate this empty feeling. A few minutes ago he told me that he couldn't cuddle with me because Sage needed his help. But a few seconds after he left Sage showed up at our door looking for Chris. I want to see the best in him, I know Chris loves me and wouldn't hurt me. But it doesn't make me feel sad and depressed when he does that.

I think I maybe I should get out of this room and meet some other supernaturals. I just need to find that one friend that will help me get through my depression. Slowly I begin to pull myself up from the bed and start to walk to the door. I open it and then walk out, only to bang into someone as soon as I step into the hall.

I step back a bit and look at person and I look up to meet eyes with a pair of black eyes. The person glares at me but I just shrug it off by saying "Sorry about running into you. I kind of just walked out of the room but didn't really look where I was going." The person looks at me kind of shocked, they probably weren't expecting me to act all normal while they glared at me.

I smile at the person and say "My name is Jesse Berman." The guy stares at me for a second and then says "My name is Alaric Evans. You must have so real guts to talk to someone who is glaring at you like they are going to beat you up." I laugh and say "I've been to hell and back, literally. There is really nothing that scares me anymore." Alaric nods and asks "Wanna walk with me to dinner?" I nod and follow Alaric to the dinner table, not really knowing where it is because it is my first time eating dinner outside of the room.

When we make it to the table everyone stares at us. Alaric goes to sit down and I sit next to him feeling a bit self-conscious, the people won't stop staring. I then hear Alaric say "If you've got a problem with demons then get out of this room now. My friend and I aren't leaving till we eat." Some people get up and some others look away. I smile and then whisper a thanks to Alaric.

When I'm halfway done with my food I hear Kyle's voice saying "I'm gonna check on Jesse, when you decide to stop being such a dick to him let me know." I look up to see Kyle and Chris. I casually excuse myself from the dinner table and rush over to them. I smile up at them and pretend like I didn't just hear what they were saying. Chris looks at me like he wants to smile back but he just walks away. I stare after him thinking about what I could've done to make him mad at me and to ignore me.
