Understanding

Soon the door opens again and I see Chris standing there. I try to keep my emotions in check while looking at him but I can't help the few tears that fall. He slowly makes his way over to me and makes a move to wipe my tears but I move my head away.

I wipe them myself while looking away from him and say "I wanted to talk to you about everything. I just want this last time to talk about things. Jackson said that you have a lot of things to tell me. I will listen to them all." Chris grabs my hand lightly in his and I try to pull my hand away but he holds it tighter.

I give him a weird look and he says "Just let me hold onto you until I am finished talking. I want to explain things to you." I stop trying to pull away from him and say "If that's what you want. But once I get my answers if I still want to be let go just let me go."

He nods his head and then takes a deep breath and then starts talking. "I know you are sad that I have been ignoring you and things were said. But I was doing it to do something good for you and I was ignoring you because I knew it would be hard. I made a witch friend here and they were going to help me turn back time. I was going to turn it back to before you met Austin. Everything would stay the same with your mother's death and mine but I would make it so you live with your Uncle and have your happiness."

I look at him shocked and ask "What about you? If I am going to live a happy life where will you be?" His expression grows even more sad and says "I would return to my body as past me after I change everything. I would have all our memories but you wouldn't remember a thing."

I use my free hand to slap Chris in the face and then start crying. I then say "Why didn't you ask me what I wanted? I don't want to be without you. A life without you wouldn't be happy it would be a lie. You are the best thing to happen to me in my life. You are my world and I know you were trying to protect or whatever by coming up with that plan of yours but I don't want it. I only want you."

Chris just stands there for a second shocked that I smacked him and for what I said. I pull him into a hug slowly and say "No matter what happens I will never agree to that plan of yours. My life may not have been perfect but I don't care. It may not have been the happiest but with you it feels like it is. Don't try to leave me ever again. I also want my ring back."

Chris hugs me tightly and says "Okay, I promise never to leave you." He then pulls both of our rings from his pocket and says "I never let them leave my side but I did have to make it so you didn't see them." I smile teary eyed and take my ring before putting it on as I watch Chris do the same.

I give Chris a small peck on the lips and can't help but shiver from the pleasure. I missed his lips. He smiles and says "Come on let's go out where the others are, there are some things that everyone needs to hear as a group." I nod my head and walk with Chris out the door to meet with the others.
