ALARIC POV -
I look at Jesse's demon expectantly and he sighs before giving Jesse control. Jesse looks at me weirdly and I say "You've been gone for a little while. Your demon took control, you allowed yourself to fall into the emotionless void. I convinced the demon to let you have control of your body when we're alone. But if you try and fight him you will be able to gain control."
Jesse sighs and says "I don't want control of my body. This void is nice. I like it, I like not feeling anything. My life has been too painful and the only good thing that ever happened to me left me. I don't want control if my life is only pain. I want to stay in the void for as long as I can. I will talk to you when we're alone, but that is all the communication I will get with the outside."
I look at Jesse with worry and say "You can't pick to stay in the void, you have to live. Don't you have anyone you want to see again? You need to want to see them again, push through that void for them." Jesse gasps and his eyes turn back into his demon. The demon smirks at me and says "Your a clever little pest. Too bad for you that he didn't listen. Now that you got that out of your system, try not to stand in my way."
I glare at him and say "Let Jesse back out. You promised you'd let him out when we're alone." Jesse's demon leans closer to me and whispers "But we aren't going to be alone in like 5 seconds." Just as he finishes saying that he pulls me in for a kiss. I then feel someone pulling me away from him and I feel a sting in my jaw. I look up to see Chris.
