"Want help?" Austin said with a harsh tone to his voice...
Me and my teacher, Matthew don't move a muscle. I'm just on the pavement laying on too of him.
"Oh umm sure. Thanks austin"
"Mmhmm" he responds picking me up off of matthew.
Matthew then gets up, brushing off the dust particles from the ground.
"You okay? Miss. Allen?" Matthew asks.
"Yes Mr. Clemings." It suddenly begans to get a little awkward and Austin is basically giving me daggers with his eyes.
"Miss. Allen... Detention after school."
"WHAT!? No that's not fair!"
"Wanna make it two?"
"No Mr. Clemings."
After that, Mr. Clemings.. Uhm Matthew continued walking into the school while I'm just awkwardly standing there next to Austin, my bestfriend.
"So wanna hang out tonight???" He asks me.
"Cant. I'm busy."
"Your always busy now Kate! Come on please, your my bestfriend."
"Yeah yeah I know but I have to study for exams and now I have detention."
"Exams never stopped you any other time."
"I'm sorry Austin"
"I doubt it" he says walking away.
I feel so guilty I've been ditching him lately... But he needs to understand that I actually am BUSY. he should care about exams too! It's just not fair he's taking his anger out on me. Why is he so worked up about matthew!? What did Matthew ever do to him? I don't know but I intend to find out.
