Chapter 5

"You hurt my best friend. You left her. You caused all this pain!" Maya yelled and tried to tackle him. Josh picked her up and held her back.

"Nice to see you too Maya." Lucas said a little scared.

"What do you want Friar?" Josh growled.

"I've made a mistake and I want to face it. I've known it for 9 years but been too scared to tell anyone. I want to make things right." Lucas said calmly. Josh put Maya down and Maya grabbed the collar of Lucas' shirt pulling him down to her height.

"Hurt her and Gracie and you'll regret everything." Maya warned and let him go.

"Gracie?" Lucas questioned and Josh hit him across the head.

"Your daughter smart one." Josh told him and they went back home.

"So tell me about my daughter." Lucas said.

"Yeah, we've never met her." Farkle realized and Mackenzie nodded.

"Well, she's 8, loves art, a lot like Riley," Josh started.

"Looks or personality?" Mackenzie asked. Maya giggled and pulled out her phone and showed them a picture.

"Both." she said.

"She's adorable!" they all said.

"And she blames herself for Lucas leaving." Maya told them.

"Your goal is to hurt me more isn't it?" Lucas asked Maya.

"Yep." Maya smirked. "Hope you feel the pain they do."

"Maya, I do." Lucas said.

"Good." Josh said.

"Guys, I feel like the worst person ever. Hurting the two people I love and one of them I never met. I came to make things right. Please, help me out. I'll see enough pain once I see Riley and Grace, seeing everything I left and caused." Lucas said.

"You're right, we're sorry." Josh said and Lucas nodded.

"Fine." Maya groaned. They all got out of the car and were about to go in. But Mackenzie saw something no one else did. Her father.

"Mackenzie! Prepare yourself! This is going to be bad, trust me. And I'm right here." Chet said and left. Mackenzie held onto Farkle's arm tighter, prepared for whatever was ahead of them.
