I Still Love You

Chapter 9

Lucas sat on Maya's couch at midnight. What he was doing up?

Thinking of Riley and Gracie.

Riley walked downstairs and Lucas turned.

"What are you doing up?" he asked as she sat down by him.

"Thinking of you." she whispered.

"Me?" he questioned with curiosity and Riley sighed.

"Lucas I still love you. I want you. I want to spend my life with you. But you hurt me." Riley explained.

"Riley I will never ever forgive myself for hurting you. I was stupid. I can;t believe I ever did that to you. I'm sorry." he explained. "Ple-" he started but was cut off with Riley kissing him.

"I hate the way I still love you." she whispered to him.

"I know you do. I hate the way I can never forgive myself." he told her.

"Lucas I forgive you. I know you didn't mean to. I forgive you, and I love you, and I want you." Riley told him and Lucas smiled.

"You really do?" he asked.

"Of course I do. I can't live without you." RIley smiled.

"I wish Gracie felt the same way you did." Lucas frowned.

"You have to convince her. Hear her side of the story and she'll hear yours. Lucas I don't want to live without you. You may have only been here for a few hours, but in those few hours, I've been different. I've been happier." she smiled.

"Same with me. Riley I need you." Lucas smiled and Riley kissed him again.

"I need you." RIley told him.

Lucas grabbed a blanket and the two cuddled up together not saying a word, until the silence was disrupted with a whisper.

"Please don't leave me again." Riley whispered to Lucas. Lucas wrapped his arms around her protectively.

"I won't, until you want me to." he told her.

Maya tossed and turned all night.

What if Ranger Rick hurts her?

What if Riley hates him?

What of things don't work out?

So many questions running through her mind.

"Can't sleep?" Josh asked and Maya shook her head.

"Do you think-" Maya started until the door opened revealing a small, brunnette.

"Gracie what's up?" Josh asked.

"Mommy isn't in her room and I'm upset. Can I stay in here tonight?" Gracie asked.

"Sure Boo Boo." Maya smiled.

Gracie ran over to their bed. She jumped on their bed. She laid in the middle of them and soon drifted off to sleep.

Maya's mind still raced with questions. But she figured out the solution.

If he hurts Riley and Gracie one more time, he is dead.
