Chapter 10

Gracie let her feet hang off the bar stool at the island. School today? No thanks.

"I don't want to go to school." Gracie sighed.

"I said the same thing." Maya lightly laughed.

"Come on kid! Just today then you have winter break!" Josh tried to cheer her up. Gracie frowned and grabbed her bookbag.

"I better get going." she sighed and left.

"What is up with her?" Mackenzie questioned and came in.

"No idea." Josh sighed.

Gracie is normally perky and happy, but lately she's been depressed. Lucas and Riley came into the room, and Lucas was greeted only by the wall as Josh pinned him.

"UNCLE JOSH!" Riley screamed.

"What did you do to my niece, Friar?" he questioned.

"Which one sir?" Lucas questioned.

"Josh, Lucas and I are fine now! I forgave him, let's move on here people! We talked the whole thing out!" Riley yelled at Josh, trying to get him to release his grip off of Lucas.

"Gracie." Josh answered, ignoring Riley.

Riley's heart dropped. What happened to her daughter?

She pulled Josh off of Lucas and took his place of pinning Lucas to the wall.

"What did you do to our daughter, Friar?" Riley asked angrily.

"Nothing! Last night I let her talk and she said she'd never forgive me! That's all!" Lucas answered. Maya pumped one of her fist in the air while the other held Gracie's plate.

"That's my niece!" Maya cheered and threw the plate into the sink, only to hear it shatter. Farkle pointed to the sink.

"And that was a mistake!" he told her and Maya nodded.

"Yeah I know." Maya rolled her eyes and started picking up the mess she made.

"Ok, ok. How do we know that Lucas did this?" Mackenzie questioned. She's always been the peace keeper of the group, Mr. and Mrs. Matthews relied on her to keep everything balanced.

"She hasn't been acting like this since Lucas came. Once he came, she was down in the dumps." Josh answered and Riley let go of Lucas.

"Guys, I didn't say anything to upset her. In fact I told her none of this is her fault, only mine." Lucas told them, which made them all relax.

"Maybe she is like this because, oh I don't know, we're all fighting!" Mackenzie told them.

"She's right you know." a voice said. They all turned to where they heard the voice and saw the one and only, Chet Hunter.

"Dad?" Mackenzie questioned.

"Wait! I thought you can only see him?" Farkle asked Mackenzie and put an arm around her.

"That's how it should be. How-" Mackenzie started, but was cut off.

"That's your dad! That's the guy who married 'It's Tuesday, I better run away!' woman!" Maya cheered and pointed at him excitedly.

"How are you doing Maya? Shawn has told me a lot about you." Chett said.

"All good things I hope?" Maya questioned and Chet nodded.

"You all need help. How about instead of fighting this out, you solve this whole thing! Riley and Lucas did, now all of you need to gain your peace back with Lucas. And Lucas, do what you've always wanted to do." Chet told them then left.

"I need him around more." Maya said and continued cleaning her mess.

"Ok, forgiveness project time?" Riley asked and everyone nodded.

"But, not just forgiveness this time." Farkle added.

"Huh?" everyone asked as Josh handed everyone paper and an envelope.

"Apologizing as well. I think we can all write a letter apologizing to Gracie for fighting." Farkle explained.

"Ok." they all said.

"She's my only niece! I'm not screwing this up!" Farkle yelled and everyone backed away from him.

"Yee." they all shuttered.

A/N: Ok, so apparently my mouth got infected from my surgery, so I'm staying home from school because of how much pain I'm in. Any update request?
