"Phil, we need to talk."
"Ugh, can we do it in the morning?"
"Why are you always so tired every single day?"
"Work sucks, okay?"
"Oh, but is it really work?"
"Dan, of course it is."
"Then, what do you do in work?"
"You know, computer stuff and yeah."
"What kind of stuff?"
"The regular stuff? Like editing and uh organizing data."
"Oh, why are you not so sure? Surely you should know considering you have been 'working' non-stop for almost 2 weeks."
"Dan, I have to work more so we can earn more money. I mean, we finally got a house, a dog, even our own son. There's more responsibility and believe it or not, we need to work more to continue it!"
Dad and Pap were arguing again. They have been doing it for the past days. Pap always tried to get away from it. Dad would get mad and annoyed all the time.
I wonder if I wasn't here, would they still be happy together?
Before we got Striker, our Shiba Inu puppy, both, Dad and Pap, would tell me stories before they had me.
Like how they toured around the world.
Another is how they met up.
Also how they made tons of people happy.
Dad and Pap were so cool and happy. They were the best!
Where did the happiness go?
"Oh?! Is that true?! So your secretary didn't text me saying that YOU were going to a fucking club last night?!"
"H-how?! Um."
"Now I got you red-handed!! Is there actually 'work'?"
"You know what?! How about YOU!! I'm always the one who has to supply everything. What do you do here in this place?! Every. SINGLE. Day."
"Me? ME?! I have to fucking clean the whole place and do laundry. I have to take care of Striker and Dil. If it wasn't for them, I would be bored all the time!"
Dad and Pap were shouting again.
But this time, it went too far.
I was hugging Striker.
Do they even notice that I'm here?
"YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW MUCH I SACRIFICE To keep our rent..."
"What do you mean?! What SACRIFICE?!"
