Feels Like Falling

“So long story short I scheduled two radio interviews for you guys this morning. The first one, Z100, will be calling in 5 minutes. I’m going to go get Niall. Harry can you get Zayn, and Louis you go get Liam please.” I was thrilled with how easily they followed my instructions; this really made transitioning into work mode a lot less complicated.

            I phoned Niall’s room and he said he’d be down in two minutes. I had a bit of time to freshen up in the bathroom. I tied my hair up in a messy topknot, which actually looked pretty good. Why is it that your hair looks awesome when you aren’t trying and like shit when you are? I had Louis’ jumper to throw on and I rummaged through his suitcases to find a pair of jeans and hoped with all my heart they would fit. Thank god they did and they were already rolled up at the bottom so it might even look like they were mine.  I was as ready as I could be and looked myself over in the mirror. I barely recognized the girl staring back at me, what had just happened with Harry and Louis began to sink in and I felt sick about it. It was amazing and I had liked every minute of it, but I just couldn’t lie to myself. Being with two people was not me. Sharing the guy I loved with someone else was not me, no matter how much I did care for Louis. Looking at myself in the mirror just then I knew I’d have to talk to Harry and that conversation could very well be the end for us. But I loved him and loving him meant being honest, and if he loved me like I hoped he did, he wouldn’t want me doing anything that I wasn’t comfortable with.  I took a deep breath and walked back into the main room to find all the boys gathered in the Living area. Louis sat on the sofa with Liam they were talking about plans for tonight and hadn’t noticed me walk in. Niall and Harry were tossing a ball back and forth by the window and Zayn was half asleep in the oversized chair in the corner of the room.

            “Good morning guys! “ I started “So I’m sure you know the first interviewers will be calling any minute. I will answer and go over questions with them briefly, I will put them on hold and fill you guys in. Then we’ll put it on speaker and you can chime in freely. Any Questions for me?” They all shook their heads as I had expected because they had already done so many of these kinds of interviews. Then the phone rang. I spoke with Blair Zane the Z100 host for a few minutes going over his questions and put him on hold. “Okay guys the questions are pretty standard, you are free to answer how ever you’d like, but please keep in mind that what you say is out there forever, so think a bit before you open your mouth and if there is anything you do not want to answer simply defer the question politely.” I looked around to make sure we were all on the same page and hit the hold button. “Good morning Blair I have One Direction here with me…”

            “Good Morning guys! How are you liking the sunny LA weather?” Blair asked.

            And with that the interview went off without a hitch. The second interview went pretty much the same and in an hour’s time the interviews were over and the boys had also recorded some intros and sound bits for each station.

            “Alright you guys did excellent.” I said “There is nothing else on the schedule for today so what would you guys like to do?”

            “Disney Land!” yelled Niall.

            “Yeah Disney would be right fun! What do you say Zayn” Liam added

            “I could do Disney…” Zayn answered

            “Well guys that’s 3 out of 5, majority rules?” I said playfully

            “I’m obviously in” Harry said giving me a wink.

            “I’ll go, only if I get mouse ears!” Louis replied in his sassy tone walking over to me. “Are those my pants?” he whispered, giving me a thorough up and down. I smiled, embarrassed and nodded.
