HANNA’S POV

Three months have gone by and today is finally the day Bridget and I leave for Australia.  We were planning on leavening three months ago but after thinking about it we decided to wait, go through with the jobs we already had lined up then take a longer leave.

We threw all of out luggage in the cab we called to pick us up then hopped in ourselves. We got through security and made our way to our terminal I stopped to buy some snakes and water for our long flight.   While paying I took a look at the magazines. Not surprisingly there was a new couple on front of them. The new ‘golden couple,’ this had been going on sense Cody went MIA new young boys tried and failed to do what he did. They fallowed his every move even down to dating models but there faces never stayed on the front of the tabloids for long.

Our flight called for boarding and Bridget and I made our way onto the plane. We were going to be on this flight for a while so we made the decision to fly first class, which we weren’t planning on doing but because of the circumstances, it sounded reasonable.

The flight was long and tiresome. As soon as we landed we grabbed all our bags and walked to find the car we had called ahead and rented.  It was a long drive from Sydney to Brisbane; we spent almost all of it sleeping trying to shake the jet lag. While Bridget slept I plugged my headphones in and shuffled my music.  The driver turned to me and said “this is a beautiful part of Australia do you mind if we take the scenic route?” how could I resist. “Yes of course.” I said eagerly. We turned a few streets then that’s when I saw it; the beautiful beach. The water was blue as the sky the sand looked soft and warm. There were children playing and it kind of made me miss LA. We took the same rode for a while, passing small shops and restaurants.  We are definitely going to visit this beach during our time here.

When we decided to wait and take our trip later we also decided we should visit other places and country’s before we go back to work. On our list is; Australia, Bora Bora, Costa Rica, Africa, Germany, India, LA, then back to New York.

“Excuse me sir but where are we?” I ask wanting to know the name of this beautiful place.

“It’s the Gold Coast sweet heart.” As soon as he told me my heart sank. That would happen, the place I fell in love with just by driving through would be where Cody is from. Now I know what he was talking about when we discussed his life in Australia.

I hadn’t stopped thinking about Cody sense I saw him in New York. Late at night I would play out scenarios in my head of what I would say if I ever saw him again. They all ended in me telling him I love him, but I could never finish them. I didn’t want to lie to myself about what he would say back.  I know for sure that if I did run into Cody I would apologize to him and tell him how I feel, id tell him I love him and miss him. The only part that scared me was what his reaction would be. That’s why I can’t picture it, because I don’t know. For all I know he could be in a serious relationship with some amazing girl.

After a few days I knew it was a great idea to come here.
