Chapter Nineteen:

Hunter stood in front of me shuffling his feet nervously.

My father nodded his approvingly at him before sending me an evil smile.

If this was their way of distracting me they had another thing coming. I narrowed my eyes at him letting him know that it wasn’t going to work.

“Why are you doing this?”  I asked turning back to hunter and looking at him confused. As I studied him I could see the guilt mixed with determination clear on his face. He didn’t look me in the eye just kept steering ahead.

“They took mum and dad, they said if I helped stop you they would return them,” he told me.

“Hunter it’s not going to work. The hunters want you dead as much as me.” I told him. “Stay with me, Ill help you get them back,”

“I trust them!” he yelled as if trying to convince himself as well as me. I let out a deep breath and thought about what I was going to do. I needed to wipe out all of the hunters but what happened if he was hurt in the process. I wouldn’t be able to live with myself.

“What do the others think?” I questioned trying to buy time.

“They are just being stupid they listened to mum and dad and decided that they would continue protecting you.” He replied coldly. I grimaced when he chuckled. “They’ll all get what’s coming to them,”

“I’m so sorry,’

I’d come up with a plan. I needed to get him out of danger.

“What-“ He started but I cut him off when I threw him back against the tree. He smacked his head and I knew that he was out cold. I shuttered when I thought about how painful that must have been.

“Your turn!” I yelled looking at my father. He smirked and stepped forward into the middle of the clearing. The hunters stayed back, knowing that we were the only match for each other.

I focused and smiled when I felt the power flow through me again. A slight glow came off my body. As I focused on everything around me I felt the wind pick up and the ground begin to shake underneath me.

“Let’s dance daddy,” I shot the rocks forward first, followed by water. Everything that I could use was whirling around the clearing like a hurricane. The sky darkened and the sun disappeared behind the clouds.  A storm was brewing.

My storm.

His face went grim when he focused on the objects and shot them back trying to send them away from him. He raised his arms and pulled a tree from the ground. Throwing it at me. I could tell that he was doing his best not to kill me but I could see his anger surfacing.
