Chapter 5

"Yes!" Ashley said, almost too quickly. He was a little tipsy, but not so much that it would make him unable to comprehend what was happening.

"Are you allergic to cats?" Jinxx asked.

"Nope." Ash answered with a giggle. He often got like this when tipsy, he'd giggle a lot.

Jinxx smiled and led Ash to his car where he then got Ash's door for him. He only had the one drink, and drank water the rest of the meal so that he would be all right to drive home afterwards. Ashley on the other hand had deliberately not driven his car there so he had an excuse for Jinxx to drive him home. "Thank you." Ash smiled as Jinxx got into the car.

Jinxx drove them back to his apartment. He got the door for Ash and then led the way. His apartment was a good size. It had a living room, 2 bedrooms and a small kitchen. Ashley looked around Jinxx's apartment smiling to him and decided that he liked the apartment; it was cute.

"Is there a particular film that you want to watch?" Jinxx asked.

"Can we watch a scary movie?" Ash asked with a giggle. Jinxx smiled and asked for a suggestion. Ash said paranormal activity so Jinxx got it and put it in before grabbing some pop corn and sitting beside Ash on the couch and putting the bowl of pop corn in front of them on the coffee table.

Ashley had taken his shoes off at the door; he curled up on the couch, wanting to cuddle with Jinx, but he didn't move to do that. At the moment, Jinxx totally forgot that he had a cat. So when it meowed at them, Jinxx jumped and hid his face in Ash's shoulder. Ashley giggled at him, even though he jumped too. "Silly kitty." He whispered. Jinxx giggled but remained close to Ash. They then somehow began to cuddle and Jinxx really liked it. Ashley cuddled right into Jinxx, watching the movie. He'd gotten the bowl and put it on Jinxx's lap and ate some popcorn.

Jinxx had an arm around Ash. Being close to Ash felt nice. It wasn't sexual but it still felt very enjoyable. Jinxx didn't want sex from Ash right away. He wanted to see where things went, and possibly then have a relationship.

Ashley would jump at the scary parts and cling to Jinxx. He was glad that he suggested doing this; it was a lot of fun, and definitely better than being taken home and fucked. When the movie ended, Jinxx Yawned. It was 12 am. Ashley was beginning to fall asleep on Ash's shoulder.

Jinxx ended up carrying a sleeping Ash to his bed where he tucked him in. he then changed into some pajamas and lay down on the couch with a blanket and his cat. He was out like a light in a matter of minutes. Ash slept soundly, curled up in Jinxx's bed. The smell of it made him feel safe.

Jinxx's usual nightmare was more intense. It wasn't a normal nightmare, it was a surprised memory that he pretended didn't exist for the longest time; but when it returned, it always took a toll on him. Ashley on the other hand slept quite well and did not have a nightmare because he felt safe in Jinxx's bed.

Despite how bad the nightmare was, he didn't wake up. The dream reoccurred several times before he ultimately woke up. When he woke up, he had temporarily forgotten that he was in LA. The tears began to fall at a rapid rate as he then began to hug his knees. He wished it would all go away. Every time he was finally happy, and moving on, the nightmares came back and made a muck of everything, often ruining relationships.

Ash was glad he didn't have a nightmare, he was afraid that if he did, he'd make a mess in Jinxx's bed.

It was only 4 am, but Jinxx knew he'd not be able to sleep. His chest shook with silent sobs. He was afraid that he'd wake Ash and then have to explain to the other man why he was crying. Ash rolled over in bed, cuddling a pillow to his chest, and woke up a bit as he did so.

Jinxx stared at the wall while curled up. He soon gotlost in his mind and in his thoughts.0>Cz
