Chapter 9

Ash had fallen back asleep for a while before he ultimately forced himself out of bed. He ate the breakfast Jinxx made for him.

Jinxx got to work early and began to work. By lunchtime he was tired. He'd missed his lunch because he was giving a tour and it ran over the allotted time. His boss got mad at him and changed his hours again. He now went in at 5 and got off at 11. How it was legal, Jinxx wasn't sure, because he was pretty sure it wasn't.

Ash had made Jinxx something for dinner before he left. He left it in the fridge; ready to re-heat when he got home and left a note on the table so Jinxx would know about it. Ash also deiced to dress in what he'd worn there the night before to go home. Granted a few people on the street recognized him and flashed him some cash but he declined.

When Jinxx got off of work, he felt dead. Everything hurt and he wanted to sleep. Going home, he saw Ash's note but passed out on the couch from exhaustion before he could eat.

Ash managed to get home without much problem, so he'd gone to sleep early.

The following day, Jinxx had to get up and 3 to get ready for work. He had 4 hours of sleep and looked like shit. Ash had work that night, and slept in very late.

Jinxx really wanted to curl up and die. The lack of sleep, lack of food, and the lack of a social life was taking a toll. He worked hard and did everything he could to please his boss but it was never good enough, it never worked. After working this schedule for almost a month, he was miserable.

Finally, on a random weekend, Ash saw Jinxx, he told him to quit his job and find a new one. Jinxx told Ash that he couldn't just quit. He needed another job before he could quit this job. But that wouldn't be possible because he worked from so early to so late. Hell, his boss even made him stay later. He ended up not going home for 2 days because he worked the entire time. He missed Ash, nature, and small things like going to the store. By the end of the second month, Jinxx had lost weight from overworking and not eating enough. It was only a matter of time before he collapsed.

Ashley missed Jinxx a lot. He missed being able to see him. He'd been going around random guy's house more often, just so he could think about something other than Jinxx.
