The Advice

(Chapter 2 )

Its been a whole week and I havent left my house... I havent talked to my friends and I havent said a word. I get a call which pulls me out of my lengthy train of thought. It was Jordan so I answered, "Hey." I said in my lowsy attempt to seem cheerful. "Whats going on with you Brianna?" she asked in a very concerned voice. "Oh nothing Jo, Im fine..." I said reassuringly. "Oh really... so why the hell havent you called, texted or stopped by? Thats not like you Bri." she said. Who was I trying to fool... all of my friends seemed to see through my clever fessauds. I sighed hevily letting my real feelings take over and told her everything... She said she'd come by and bring the girls with her.

As they walked through the door they all cringed at the smell of me. Throughout my slump I hadnt thought of bathing. "What the actual fuck!? Brianna have you ever heard of soap!?" I heard Chioma's loud mouth over my other two friends say. They then walked up to my bed side. I was so lost I didnt think of greeting them. I just looked out into the distance outside my window wondering why this had to happen to me. "Bri... please tell us what we can do." Amber said in a soft comforting voice floating me back to reality. "Just, tell Princ- him, to stay away from me okay." I said... "But he loves you and hes good for you" Chioma said. "Yeah" said Amber and Jordan in agreement. Amber then sat beside me and looked at me directly. "You have to stop this. That happened in Middle School... you gotta let it go. Please, for the sake of your happiness." Amber said in an almost pleading tone. "But I am happy... I mean was before he said that to me." I said in response to her advice. "No you werent. You didnt see it but we did." Jordan added gesturing to the other two. "But I promised myself..." I said. "Yeah, you said you were gonna be happy with your promise too didnt you?" Amber said. "Well yeah but" I said but then Amber cut me off. "Are you?" She said as she got up and walked to srand beside Chioma and Jordan. "We just want you to be happy" Chioma said. They then began to walk out as Jordan said "Oh and dont forget to shower!" she shot me a wink and then ran out behind the others.
